Mucho rattlesnakes in that part of PA. I have seen three at a single overlook. Be careful (everybody) out there. Separately, how cool that you ran into folks who recognized you, including that nice family that brought the cookies. Those girls have just seen somebody they can look up to, who is showing them how powerful and successful they can be in a very challenging and demanding activity like hiking and being in the outdoors. You may not think about it, Nahamsha, but you are a role model. Just don't get bit by a rattlesnake.

If you really want to do an impressive FKT, you have to beat a supported one in unsupported manner. Like Mr Stringbean did on the AT. If I remember right, the guy before him had the support of RedBull and is still a legend in ultra running (although not Mr Legend himself). He was even filmed from a helicopter and so on. Of course the new outfit looks nice, it has a reason in medieval times royal blue was the color of kings/queens (while it was forbidden for ordinary peasants to wear it). However, direct sun rays heat up your skin more than if you would cover it. Thats why the Tuareg people traditionally wear long an airy clothes.
