Every year in September we do a 30 day challenge that aims to motivates us to grow as musicians. This year's challenge is a 30 Day Music Theory Challenge, which is a course that is designed for absolute beginners who are looking to learn how to understand music theory.
The contents of these videos are family-friendly and classroom-friendly. In these videos you will learn the musical alphabet, major scales, the circle of fifths, and music notation.
The goal is for you to watch 1 video every day of September.
New videos will go live every day in September!

I have a question, is the F Major Scale still called a major scale even when the B is flat?

HI. It is so fascinating as someone who has always dived deep into the "why" of things to be shown 'knowing that" does have a place in the learning process..As a science teacher i used to get quite irate at the teachers who would not give deeper explanations when asked. Now should I to try the finger positions for the F scale with the B flat. Will those for the C major scale work?

This is the first time in YEARS that one of your videos came up. Since the whole covid thing happened in fact. My daughter and I were just starting out and the Boise Ukulele Group went dormant for a long time, and when they came back, they met at a retirement village that required masks and other Gestapo regulations.
