Not a farmer, but worked in Glasshouses, Fruit Farms, Plant Nurseries, vineyard’s, Gardening etc. So certainly know what your on about, most of the time , especially with spraying (especially in the vineyard!)but mostly on a different scale.
Hi Olly we are farming great to see younger ones with some get up and go sorry to hear only 70% . i was attacked by hare coursers and anglia water considering 1 of there new reservoir over our farm and fert prices so only 50% but great life .
I'm a dairy farmer and I do a lot of grassland spraying for hire. I use an amazone uf1201 sprayer and I also pull around a 1300 gallon water bowser behind me with a petrol water pump to fill the sprayer 😁😁
I follow many RU-vid channels and I dont think any of them come close to your views vs. subscribers ratio. A reflection of the quality of your daily content.
Hi, you asked if I'm a farmer or not, so here goes. I'm an ex-dairy manager, with some sheep & beef on the side. My knowledge of tillage/cereal/crops is very low. As I'm now not able to work, due to one well and truly worn out back held together by a couple of metal rods and screws. Oh I've battery operated device implanted with wires going into my spine to help and reduce the pain. So I'm kind of a ex farmer with a lack of crop knowledge, and some pretty old experience. I stopped farming, in the late '80s, to try and prevent the back surgery, I've ended up getting the surgery 25 years after leaving anyway. So there's enough of a waffle on me. I'm hoping to get to see you in real life and perhaps Tom Pemberton as well. I love watching the daily going ons & quite glad that bailer twine & ducktape still have a part in modern farming. Ok, that's way too many words from a fellow dyslexic. Take care & keep doing what your doing. Thanks for sharing parts of your life with us. @Olly Blogs Agricontract framer
Hi Olly, mother & wife of farmers. Found the sprayer in depth very interesting, well it would, its made in Devon !! Thanks Olly, 80% moving house is not easy. Take care.
Extraction and Ventilation engineer, nothing to do with farming but our unit is on an agri farm so I now appreciate and understand all that is around me. Your videos are entertaining and educational. Thank you.
Great video Olly. I’m non a farmer (well only virtual on Farming Simulator!!!) but learn so much from your daily videos. The explanation of the sprayer was very informative.
New sub here, no, not the kinky sex type! Been looking at your videos the last couple of days and enjoy them, so thanks for all your graft as a farmer and for these videos, all the best.
I'm not a farmer but love when you go into detail on crops and especially the equipment, we've all seen ' farm stuff ' on the tv and on our travels but never get an explaination for things that you guys take as known. Look forward to your vids everyday regards to your family and your hard working staff. P.S. I don't think your vids are too long, if anything they're a bit short just saying -)
I've been having a form of walk and talk therapy through the NHS in Northumberland for a few years now. We started with walking my dog down the local beach, to now going and playing snooker during a session. Taking away that formal "typical" therapy of sat in a room one to one, makes a HUGE difference. I've come so far so quickly by not having the "standard" type therapy! Not a farmer... But interested in agricultural industry!
Not a farmer. My uncle was. Used to love my summers as a kid on the farm. Where I learned to drive. Wouldn't mind doing some farming it's really interesting. Love the videos and the lives. Look forward to them daily
Non farmer, aged 65, but always have had an interest in tractors and implements, I have a few vintage tractors of my own. Throughly enjoy your excellent daily blogs Olly.🚜
Great video olly I use to work for a big Agricultural contractor but as I got older got out of it I now have a cafe but never lost my interest in farming I have a few old tractors my pride of place is my fiat 160/90 I’m 99% today
We have micro farm at home if you can classify it like that. We have couple of fields where we mostly plant corn but sometimes some wheat too. Through the year we feed 4-6 pigs manly for our food needs. We also have 20-30 chickens. That's about it.
90% I'm a carpenter by trade and I do a lot of work for the local farmers. Thanks for the explination of the bateman Olly, far easier to understand than last time I was shown round one.
Not a farmer but worked on a few back in my youth. I wanted to do farming but Foot and Mouth hit and no one was gonna take on a student part time back then.
Non farmer here Olly, but a retired agri engineer. Always watch you just to keep my hand in and to see new developments. Sprayer walkaround was just about right for the general public.
Not a Farmer as such, but from a farming (beef & arable) on the east coast near Mablethorpe. My Grandad was the farmer, wasn't the opportunity for me to join the farm full time, so from school i went the engineering route and did an apprenticeship in a New Holland dealership. Unfortunately Grandad died in 1999 which ruined agriculture for me. Went into the Plant hire industry. Really miss harvest and "that smell" though!
Pity Andrew is not a bit taller .Loved hearing all about the Bateman Sprayer be good getting to a 1000 you'll need a party that night ;I am a retired farmer feeling 97% today great video Ollie
I was a small Scottish beef farmer, still live on the farm but moved from animals into other things more profitable 😂 really wish your videos were longer, 15 mins just isn't enough lol
Have a small farm at home. We use a smaller sprayer on a Ford 5000 for grassland. Also learned about sprayers etc. in college. Interesting to see how a self propelled sprayer works and great information on it.
Great video Olly Dry Stock Farmer (Beef) From The North Waikato New Zealand Originally from the Fylde plane in Lancashire Your explanation covered the sprayer well👍👀🕸
We are dairy farmers, East Yorkshire. Only found you at Christmas with the tractor run and watch every evening now. Huge fans of the 4955 so that is going to take a bit of getting over 😂
Has nobody told Mr Pemberton the campsite at Goodwood doesn't open until Thursday lunchtime. I know he likes to get his moneys worth though.... hopefully see on the campsite. He can help us out with 60 liters of Plumpys scrumpy
Grew up on a dairy farm in the Netherlands but never wanted to pursue full-time farming. Studied Agricultural Engineering and now work in vegetable seed production. Parents sold the dairy and bought a pear orchard. Always interested in arable as it is limited in the area.
Nice One Olly son of a dairy farmer worked as a holiday camp grounds man for 17 years got made redundant end of 2020 been self employed odd jobs and a bit for an arable farmer & keep a few sheep at home Thanks again
Hi Olly non farmer 75 years old but always interested in anything agricultural related and look forward to your blogs every day,I’m on holiday in Lincolnshire at the moment but still following your channel.
Sort of farmer, manager at a boar stud so a completely different discipline within the farming world. I was taught the very basics of growing a crop in school but have nowhere near your level of expertise and experience in arable/crops which makes it very interesting to watch your daily endeavours.
I’m a bricklayer who wishes his brick trowel had gps, I do work for several Farmers in North Norfolk so i have a healthy interest in agriculture as it’s all around me.plus my mental health would be better if i went for a walk with your new friend 😜🍻👍🏼
Hey Olly, on your sprayer walk round , you forgot to show the bit i brought by watching the vlog !!! Ha Ha !!! Not working in farming at present, but have certainly learnt a lot watching since the early lockdown 😉👍
