I wish I have a wife that likes study and learn about astronomy, I was going to study for astronomy and I even enrolled in college I got an scholarship for UCSD. But she never supported me or give me motivations to keep studying. Always thinking and talking shit about me going to school just to see the girls. That put me down and took all my ambitions to stay in college and study astronomy which I always love and like to learn about Andromeda and planets. I'm 52 now still stuck on FUCKEN IRONWORKING ALL FUCK UP FROM MY BODY AND ALL I DO IS WATCH VIDEOS OF ASTRONOMY THAT'S WHAT KEEPS MY PAIN AWAY
This is a great source and super simple to teach my 7 year old student. She asked me if there were 2 suns because when it was dawn where she lived, my time zone is still in the afternoon the previous day. I explained about the earth's rotation and she understood but having a visual aid will really solidify the concept. Thank you so much!
"the creativity of nature". Think about that statement for a second. How can a blind, impersonal force be creative? Spoiler alert: it can't. God created nature. Wake up.
first we have the repeating day and night, second we have the repeating yearly seasons. What is the third repeating pattern and how long is it, anybody know? Is it the freezing and boiling of the entire surface of earth? Anybody???
When north is summer, the south is in their winter. Time zones are because of the ANGLE of the sun. If all compasses point NORTH, sun and moon go EAST to WEST. Shouldn't the north be center of world map? Things would be understood much easier.
Because the earth rotates, and therefore the angle at which the sun is hitting a particular place on the earth's surface is not the same. During the morning or afternoon, the sun is not directly facing you, it's at an angle, so the earth is not absorbing as much light/heat as it would if the sun was facing you directly during noon.
First of all, you would say "why don't we feel...". The answer to your question is that the human body only detects motion through forces felt from moving. But it isn't just moving, it is a movement that would cause an acceleration, not just velocity. After all, when you're flying in a commercial airplane at 500mph and there is no turbulence, you do not feel the motion. That's because your body isn't being accelerated as the earth rotates. Actually it is slightly due to centripetal acceleration but the force of this is so small you can't detect it. The earth is big. It doesn't rate very fast.
