The Umngot River, also known as the Dawki River, in Meghalaya, India is often called Asia's cleanest river due to its crystal-clear waters. The river is located in the East Khasi Hills district, 75 kilometers from Shillong, Meghalaya's capital, and flows along the India-Bangladesh border. Some say the water is so clear that you can see boats floating on glass and the bottom of the riverbed. The river remains clean for about 82 kilometers before it reaches Bangladesh because it doesn't pass through any human settlements.
