Ali won the gold medal in the 1960 Olympics a few years before I was born . By the time I got old enough to be aware he was word champ and then they took it away from him because he wouldnt go to Nam . I remember some of those days but our family loved the champ ..my mom and dad loved him because he was standing up for the kids sent to Nam as my uncle was killed there at age 23 with a pregnant wife at home and we all felt that war was wrong like Ali ...He was the champion of my life because he always did the right thing and loved all people ..My God he was an amazing man ..God Bless and Rahmat Allah wa Barakaatuh.
"I have a lot of speed and a lot of endurance. If you sign to fight me, increase your Insurance." God bless Muhammad Ali. The greatest athlete ever lived.
I really love Ali's poems , i even memorized some of them, but man i didn't knew they called him to teach poetry in Oxford!! This man is a genius rest in peace Ali.
His muscles, his handspeed, his footwork, his stamina and endurance. Some of his great qualities in boxing. But his greatest asset was his remarkable mind. His mind never stopped. Incredible.
I could honestly sit and listen to Muhammad Ali speak on every topic under the sun for literally days, and I guarantee he'd virtually have me questioning my own previous thoughts on every single one of them. What an intelligent man. And an equally intelligent fighter.
@@ronjeremy1232 That's between him and his wife and Allah. But his Greatness and the inspiration he gave to others will last forever. On this Earth. The negative energy you bring is sickening
He was not only the most talented heavyweight boxing champion, but he simply had the guts to say what others couldn't, and for that he was the most influential athlete as I believe, an outstanding courage inside and outside the ring, what an amazing personality!
He does come off more soft spoken than usual, and the interviewer recognized that I think. He definitely was a performer but a damn wise soul. Something about him saying "You think that'll sell the fight?" was just so sincere. The interviewer I think really vibed with him. His poetry legit sent a chill down my spine.
He is one of the most charismatic, witty person I have come across and just love watching his videos. He does look and sound tiered here though. Still, the man is just out of this world.
He got his brains bashed in to make money for the white man and the Jewish man. He returned from retirement because he needed money, even though he'd made billions for others throughout his career
@@Landauh ok.. who did it before him.. he used boxing to preach about individually and peace. You can't look at some of what he says like the marrying only from your own race etc understand what was happening around his time, my friend
@@Landauh he got his head beat up for his family, and died with plenty of money!! His family didn't want for nothing!! Most boxers, athletes die broke..With nothing to show for their sacrifice!! Oh and he was the greatest of alllllllllll tiiiiime!!
I wish he cld be in his 30th and live now in our era. He had No education but so smart , with excellent memory, wrote poems, stood for his ppl, such a great man.
Don't be sad bro. I was about 9 years old when he fought George Foreman for the rumble in the jungle, it was really a magical time watching it with my family. Those Ali years in the 70s was truly unbelievable. I wish you were with me to witness those times.
@@jahsnoke8043 the first time I was introduced to boxing knowledgeably,, it was Dec1963, it was all the buzz: Cassius Clay, Sonny Liston, Floyd Patterson that's all I heard talk of, who could, who would beat who. Wonderful introduction to the boxing game. My great grandmother had a 25' Philco b&w floor model.
As Dundee said, ' The world never saw the BEST of Ali " - during his prime,; the 3 1/2 years he was exiled. Ali made up for it later though. The 1st Frazier fight would not have gone that way had Ali been fighting from '67-701/2. The best boxer and I give thanks that I saw him and learned about human care, as a child, from him. R.I.P. Muhammad.
Amazing and inspiring thoughts of Mr. Mohammad Ali.(RIP. ) Indeed he was the greatest man of his times..He was the crownless King of the people. Always thinking of how to help people. Not just the oppressed 40 million black Afro Americans ,but any body who was in need of help he helped. Best example was that quoted by his financial advisor, Once Mohammad Ali was in his room watching T.V. he saw a Jewish senior citizens home at the verge of closing ,so immediately he ordered his financial manager/adviser , who was sitting next to him, to send 500,000 dollars to the management of a Jewish nursing home., to prevent it from closing This was the humanity in him, at its best. We all black, whites, browns, yellows and red can learn from the Great Boxer and more importantly a great human being. HE read the Quranic. My prayer, my sacrifice ,my life ,and my death are all for God and indeed he lived and died that way. No greater success than that can be achieved in life. I would just editorialize one thing here. I.e. love God and Love people for the love of God. You will never go wrong. The world will be at your feet . You shall stand tall..
I remember all the hostages he got released from the mid east, I can't remember exactly where because Ali wanted to keep it low key, that way he could get the needed rests of hostages being released, after their release Ali was still low key and humble not wanting to gloat in accolades and criticize American pick, he said he was not a politician and would let the politicians do their job because the people elected them. What a guy, there's so many legendary tales of Ali outside of boxing, such a humanitarian.
ALI is the #GreatestForever #GreatestOfAllTimes. There won't ever be Sumone like him ever, 1000 more years the world will revolve on its axis, and still #MohammadAli will be unmatched. He was a philosopher, a philanthropist ,a thinker, a hero, a Legend and a Proud Black Man. He was all for his race and humanity. #RestInParadiseChamp.
One American Journalist with noble quality. He questioned Mr. Mohammad Ali as well as respected him and in fact appeared to be admiring him too. Mr . James Day is from whom all journalist learn to take interviews. Present journalist do not even respect our president as much as Mr . Ali got respected.
People talk about his physical skills but I think he is the smartest fighter ever. Could adapt to any situation like the 3 fraizer fights. Every time fraizer would gain an advantage ali would turn things around. And that was no easy thing as fraizer was a tank aswell as having highly underrated defense and fight IQ. He truly was the greatest in the ring and out. A fighter could have 100 fights and be undefeated but ali will always be the goat. His accomplishments outside the ring add to the mystique. A man of peace and love to everyone. More humble than people ever gave him credit for. RIP the greatest.
You're right, this guy did a really great job interviewing him. Too many times, the interviewer tries to make it about them. Great interview, great boxer, and an even greater man.
I'm drunk with the wine of success!!! I love it!!! I'm gonna make it. And Mr. Ali I thank you for being such a gift. May you rest easy sir. The greatest to do it how he knew how to do it!!!
Everything I see Muhammad Ali I want cry because I Love this man so much not only his boxing ability but he stood strong on his beliefs no matter what they took him he remained strong. I never felt Love for nobody in this world but Muhammad Ali...I'm a black and I don't see most people standing strong because they're afraid of losing Fame and money It's so sad we are a falling race of people and we don't even realize who we are... We are GOD chosen people
Bob Marley was also like Ali in terms of standing for his religious convictions and beliefs. He refused a treatment for his cancer that included amputation of any part of his body as he believed a body is a temple of soul and spirit and one should not willingly remove any part ...that reminded me of Ali who stood for his beliefs. Africans are not known to have any stand or convictions in the face of adversity
I’m 54 years old I was 9 when I saw him defeat foreman on tv in Zaire I consider my self lucky to live in his time I may have been too young to understand all he stood for but as a young child I was aware of his presence and what he taught he was not a perfect man but he was still a great man
Love this...you know when Ali's voice softened as he became older... He still had pearls of wisdom... And we could not hear him... I don't know why they did not place the mike closer to his mouth... Or give him a hand held one... In this interview Ali appears stressed...and the interviewer, as though perhaps last minute time was short...and hence interview rushed...
David duFresne ...yes... True... Was generally reflective n soft spoken... When he was dx with Parkinson's.. n voice barely a whisper...shame mic was not placed closer to him..
@@ronmendoza2945 ..yes. This video is profound. Great interviewer..love he asked Ali what was going through his mind at Induction ..as he was preparing to be crucified... Really moving and insightful... His mental power... This guy was driven..
..and fearless. His will, intellect and own personal studies separated him from other boxers and people in general. Who hasn't been inspired by this great human being! @@shaynelahmed6323
Ali a man who can match wits and destroy anyone to bits, you'll look up to him not just cause he's tall but because he loves all. We thank him for being great it was his fate. (This poem I just wrote is a masterpiece) 😎
They gave Ali his fight license back because when he was banned he was speaking publicly to be another Malcolm X with twice the popularity. Give him his damn license Now!!
I know it was recorded pre-social distancing but it was funny how close they are sitting to each other! Joking aside, what a man! An original character with an internal sense of justice and the will to see it through.
Ali was a great guy. He had it all. Too bad he wasn’t influenced by Larry Elder. Even so he makes good arguments for his position. He was a product of his time. God bless him.
Flies like a butterfly and stings like a bee that is the undisputed boxer Muhammad Ali May Allah swt elevate his soul to the highest rank in paradise Ameen
Allah blessed the world with his beautiful presence that will live on thru the times as long as people like the creator of these videos continue to bless us with the beauty talent and beautiful spirit of this wonderful man I never get enough but he inspires me still 🥰🥰
Muhammad Ali could have and should have been first black man to be president of the United States. He had everything it takes to lead this country in the right direction.
