Ms Maggie; I've been walking with you this past year. Found the RU-vid videos when I was pre-surgery. I was also sepsis in November of last year. I honestly think this is the procedure that I'm having on August 31st. I've had kidney stents since surgery- thinking because I have a urostomy it allows the doc to enter through the stoma to do his "dirty" work. Please never underestimate the power of prayer ~ I'm old enough to be your grandmother so I can talk like this ... I admire you for being so transparent on your videos. Being real is what it's all about. Sending much love and prayers!

Oh honey God will always help you and send Angels to protect and accompany you. You're a very good person. Sweat and so nice to share your life with us. It truly help others with the same or similar conditions. Everything will be fine. You're a blessed woman with character and tenacity and it's okay to feel a little overwhelmed hours before a procedure. I'm sure that by this time you're heading home with your lovely and kind partner. Take care. Everything will be alright. A big hug.

I just saw this post Maggie.. you have every right to feel anxious and you are not complaining ...and even if you are you do have every reason to be “venting” how you feel. You’ve been through so much and you have a lot going on.. you are handling everything very well.. by now your surgery is over and I’m praying all went well... and you are home .. going to check out your Instagram.. love, hugs and lots of healing vibes💗💗🤗🤗

It seems there is a way to see into the future! I saw your ig post this morning before the video uploaded! So glad to see everything went well! Just take the foot 🦶 off the gas ⛽️ for a bit and downshift into low for your recovery! Before you know it you’ll slowly be ramping back up to where you were and then some. Hi Maggie you were right to complain (you should hear me complain) 🥰 The best advice I was given was to take one day at a time when you feel totally overwhelmed by everything happening at the one time and usually the wrong time. Try and let Zak take the strain. I'm sure he can muddle along for a couple of weeks when you'll be able to take control again 😉 All my love Maggie 😘💗💓💗

Speedy recover you have a good man looking after you ...I still don’t have a date yet for my surgery the surgeon is ringing on the 3rd of August ...I haven’t a clue how many days to expect in hospital after the colon removal

You're in my prayers. I feel and see the fear you're feeling. I know this fear. (in 2016 I was in and out of the hospital 16 times... total of 7 months... and was alone everytime.) The nightmares, doubts, and irrational thoughts were unbearable. Somehow I made my peace with everything and everyone before going in. You're in my thoughts. You are loved and appreciated by so many. Please rest in the knowledge that so many people are in your corner.

😔 I know that u probably live ur life to the fullest because that's all u can do but I feel so bad for u & all that u go through with ur health. I had a front butt for a while almost 5 years ago & I had it for 7 months. The surgery & recovery from that & the reversal were horrible for me but I can't even imagine what u r going through. Prayers for better health girl ❤🙏

whenever I have something stressful or scary to go through, I always tell myself, ok, in 48 hours this will be in the past. Now in only 24 hours this will be in the past. And so on. I find it comforting. You will do fine Maggie and in no time you will find yourself back on your nice comfy couch. xoxoxo

It is Thursday as I watch this. Saw your tests on Wednesday. You should be through with surgery now, I think. Hope you are better. Once the surgery is over your anxiety should be easier and your problems are now all focused on getting better. Heal well and be happy.

I am even like that before a longer trip or something I that is out of routine so I definitely understand. I would be crying or close to it all day as well. I saw your IG update. Hi Maggie! I hope everything went as expected and you’re being released as I type this! My Dad had Crohn’s disease, and my Uncle has it now. (I have Lupus. AI disease has hit 50% of my family). You handle it with such grace and dignity. I know how painful it can be.

I use Pacifica underarm wipes all the time, and I’ve already packed them for my foot surgery tomorrow! They have been a lifesaver for days when I’m in too much pain to shower.

I think You had every right to be disappointed and let down by that Amusement Park. Others should've been outraged as well. Their hygiene standards, especially at a time like we're experiencing throughout the world at the moment, were appalling ...... You’ll do great... which as I write this you are probably at home already kicking yourself for worrying so much... I know you don’t need advice, but take it from another patient who after 18yrs of unusual but intense medical life (lost count of anaesthetics after 35, but your wedding is one of those days that helps all the others worth it! So again just offering a suggestion to mull over, a wedding during a pandemic and while your not 100% might be best put off till everything is more manageable.... plus it’s not like you need to find the venue ha ha... all the best sweetness

Unfortunately it didn't go quite as planned and am still in the hospital - but hopefully able to go home today! The surgery had to be done open instead of laparoscopic, and they had to place a JP drain which is putting out quite a bit. My ostomy is also being a little stubborn about waking up! I'm glad I packed what I did! Luckily Zak has taken over the wedding planning stuff. At this point, we just want to get married asap even if only a few show up. Luckily we can always hold a big party later since we own the venue :)

LetsTalkIBD oh hun... I’m sorry to hear that. Is the drain while you’re in hospital or a semi to permanent thing? I get it, it’s the marriage not the wedding right. Well, hopefully what’s happening is better for the long term & you’ll not have to do too much to get kidney A-Ok. I wish I could share my journey & be an inspiration like you, I’m just too weak... but gosh you do great 💜🦋

I have a stent in now which will help the ureter heal "open" and they will remove the stent in about a month. From there the hope is that it stays open by itself! This surgery has a 90-95% success rate
