Hey I loved this video! I loved how honest you were, and I enjoyed hearing about the ins and outs of your day. Definitely found the whole video interesting!
"if there's ever a season in life to be patient with ourselves it's now" i LOVE that. thank you for being so open and honest in this video. its so needed!! I hope you're having a better day now.
I usually don’t comment on videos but thank you for such a transparent vlog. My summer internship started this past week and I had similar mental ruts as you did throughout the video and it was really comforting and somewhat motivating to see that I’m not alone in feeling like this. Always love your intern content so looking forward to whatever else you post this summer 😊
yes keep doing these intern vlogs! my internship in nyc got cancelled for this summer but it is so nice to see how companies are running their remote programs!
I feel you on the heaviness, I’ve been struggling with the same thing with my internship. I was working on an excel file with a huge dataset and things were just NOT working so I became frustrated as well. But like you I try to see the silver lining :)
So agree with your 9-5 tips. A good healthy routine is key. A good desk chair is gold when it comes down to working from home. Also how do you deal with not having a window in the "studio"? Natural light is so important for you circadian rythme.
I appreciate this vlog so much!!!! its so easy to get frustrated and then all worked up and upset while working from home, there is nobody to just bounce your frustrations off like you might in an office surrounded by people who understand! Currently trying to write my MA thesis from home because my university library is closed until after submission... your mom is so right, we need to not be so hard on ourselves right now because this is not the summer we had expected 💗
I'm doing an internship every morning and then I'm in online classes so I get you on the staying in one spot all day life. I've realized that I need to stack my mornings with productivity because I just become a lump for whatever reason in between 2 and 5 so I figure it's just better to let myself be lazy in bed then and schedule around it lmao :)
Thank you for being so honest about your day and your feelings. I really appreciate it. I also love these videos since you are doing what I am considering to do for my career, so I like to see what it's like. One more thing -- you shouldn't feel selfish for being tired of quarantine. I have also been quarantined since March 13 and haven't really left my house. I've realized like yeah life could be worse, but you're allowed to be upset about things in your life even if "things could be worse."
Hey ! Loved how the video was divided into little titled parts, and loved the vibe of the video : reminds me of summer 2019 (and it feels good) ! Regarding quarantine, I know it may sound so stupid and even selfish, but I stopped completely watching the news, the number of cases, the studies, etc. Starting just focusing on my work, my family, praying, basically try to forget about it and it worked … Wish you the best
yay! I'm so glad you liked the timestamps and the vibe :) thanks for those tips!! definitely trying to limit my consumption of the news but still stay informed, and focus on thing that make me happy (like youtube)!
Love this video esp how real you are bc it makes everyone realize that we are all feeling similar things! Very interesting and I loved how you divided the video into named sections!!!
it's important to show that not everyday is perfect! I find myself comparing my days to others in vlogs and while it's important to stay positive and connect with others, we don't need to have unrealistic expectations for ourselves! also, so glad you're loving the timestamps!!
Thank you for your video. I loved how honest you were. So many creators act like everything is ok.. I definitely understand it’s hard, but your feelings and how you feel are how you feel & it’s ok not to be ok.
I feel you on getting frustrated with technology!! I just got a new job as a medical scribe and we are working remotely and our EMR system glitches so bad sometimes and I will lose notes and it was so hard at first because I was still adjusting. What I’ve learned is that your coworkers are there for you and just remember it’s not your fault and you’re not trying to delay anything! One day at a time!!
I really enjoyed seeing your work day! Also could relate to what you said about bad moods and being stuck in quarantine - I really appreciated your genuineness!!! The time stamps were cool too :)
How do you know what you can and can't talk about in your videos? I've been trying to figure out how to make an internship vlog but I'm nervous about talking about what I do / making it too general in the video!!
I feel u about being a morning person. At like 4 pm I become completely useless lmao but I’m ready to take on the world at 7. Also really enjoyed this video, I just accepted an internship today so looking forward to finally having some work to do, even if it’s just part time :)
Happy you're keeping busy! My own home office is really makeshift lmao but I feel lucky to be working from home as well. I wake up so late compared to you loool
Hey! You aren't alone in this! I feel all of that on a deep level. I'm in AL and I was working from home from mid-March to June 8th and then we went back to the office. I prefer the office way more than working from home. I almost wonder if we will go back to working from home soon because AL covid numbers are astronomical. Alabama is even on a travel advisory list in other states. Either way, you got this! Keep up the good work! I look forward to your vlogs and I hope you'll do more work days or work weeks in your life vlogs! Or any other videos too!
