I love it when I get new video notifications from you and anyone else to whom I subscribe. QUESTIONS (I am a curious sort): Who is doing the filming for you? How much are dental appointments down there in Mexico, if you just get your teeth cleaned? Your house looks super posh. What is your monthly rent, or did you buy it outright? If I cause offence, I apologise. I am just curious, that's all.
At 17:00, I noticed that there is gap underneath your front door. Do bugs and animals just wonder into your home? 18:34, that art work over your left shoulder is lovely! Did you paint it? Where did you get it? If I am too curious, I apologise. Curiosity is just in my nature.
Maddie is best to get Invisalign. I will not sand down the bottom teeth. You will have sensitivity to sugar, cold and hot. Get another option on your teeth 🦷 Love the house hunting videos! ❤ thank you for your hard work
@@sandicruz8984 I agree, with you. Tooth filing, and / or the sanding down of teeth is something that I have never heard done here in American dentistry, because dentists here are taught to PRESERVE teeth and their integrity. Now, in Indonesia, tooth filing and sanding down is big business. It is done without anaesthetic, as well. 😳
Hi, just curious if you buy clothes in Mexico, and if so, where? Or did you bring all of your clothes from the US. You always look great. Loving your videos.
I’m a 59 yer old Male. I lost my Wife of 25 years and am learning to live a new life alone. Your videos inspire me to “move forward”. Your videos make a difference to many people for different reasons. TY 😊
I’ve been watching your videos since you were doing Tangerine Travels. Just wanted to say that I’m so proud of you. You’re doing amazing and showing people that being single is perfectly fine and can actually be amazing. Growing into a better you. ❤
I love when Maddie said. "2023 is the year for me". I have the same feeling. Also. I love her videos. I live in Guadalajara and help me to learn to speak english. 🥰🥰🥰
You are starting to look much more relaxed and healthy after all the upheaval of the last couple of years. I hope 2023 gives you everything that you hope for!
Wow, you're thriving and not just surviving! I haven't checked in, in a minute. I left you at a bad breakup. Doesn't matter girl look at you! You have your own groove going on and you're forging ahead. I'm proud of you! As a single woman I'm thinking of moving to Mexico and you inspire me and show me it can be done, namaste Maddie!
Your videos always lift my spirits Maddie. Your authenticity shines through which is so refreshing on social media. I am on my way to Mexico as a newly widowed 63 year old and although Ajijic was the first choice for retirement while my husband was alive I am choosing Mazatlán for a more exciting lifestyle. Cheers to you 🥂
Javelina Flips - Annie: You’re NOT alone! You’re just a little ahead of me in your timing. Same circumstances; we can do this… wishing you much success in your journey and your new life! 🤞
We love Mazatlan too, but just a side note... Always visit your accomodations after the sun goes down before committing. 5 star to guest house, Mazatlan has the most entertaining huge furry spiders & lizards that run the bedroom walls of the luxury hotels at night! 🤣🤣🤣
Good for you! I became a widow 7 years ago, I was 44. My husband was very protective of me and now I fear traveling alone. I admire you girls for having the guts to do this! My family is also very protective (the baby and only girl). Question, aren’t you concerned about your safety? What about Drug Cartels? Also, how far is it from the beach? Thank you.
My family bought a house in Ajijic in 1971! La Floresta had just been built. We had it for about 5 years. We had a wonderful time living there in the summer and traveling around to see other areas. Puerto Vallarta was still a little town then. I’m so glad I found this channel. It’s fun to see you navigating life in Mexico. It’s a beautiful place.
Great video Maddie. You seem to be very well grounded. I can't wait to see where your home will be. Your dinner looked delicious and your haircut was beautiful. Stay safe. From a Canadian suffering through winter.
Hey Maddie, I love getting your newsletters it helps me stay up-to-date with your videos. I was very sorry to hear that a man treated you like an ATM machine for 9 months. It was a tough lesson to learn. I have been there too sister! Loved your video keep it up girl! 🤗
I love 'day in the life' videos! It helps us to see the everyday, not doing touristy things, which gives a realistic view of life when we move there. Your hair looks really cute! I'm glad that you are happy❣
Really appreciate these types of videos! This year I'm headed to Mexico and staying an extended time (months) to get affairs in order as my Dad is giving me a little house we've owned for decades but I've spent a year before in Guanajajato (Near Celaya) in my early 20's (I'm 36) And it's been a DECADE since I've gone back and as a fellow RU-vidr I'm planning to VLOG the entire thing. So seeing a Day in the life like this gets me just so PUMPED and motivated. Keep the content coming as its seriously high quality and unique Maddie! Love seeing your experience and your talent as a RU-vidr and Vlogger! I admire all of it 😂
I am very pleased to hear you say that this will be a great year for you and of course it will be so and even if there are not so pleasant experiences, they always teach us something.
This is my favorite video of yours Maddie. A day in the life. I’m moving to Lake Chapala (semi retiring) in July, and being self employed and working 6 days week for 18 years, I’m like, how will I stay busy? Now, I see it will be all the things I’ve not had time for working 6 days a week. Home cooked meals. Nice long exercise sessions. Self care visits. Shopping for fresh food instead of the over processed convenience foods I eat so much of in the US. It just seems like a much healthier and happier way of living. Thank you boo! I appreciate you!💝
I've lived in Ajijic for more than 20 years and love it. My haircut cost 200p including tip. I moved here from San Francisco and the quality of life here is incredible. I don't miss a thing. I hope I run into you, Maddie. I've enjoyed your video transformations over the years. Nice haircut!
I really enjoy watching your videos. I just watched your video about the festival in Oaxaca. And now this. It feels good to see you enjoying life. Thank you for sharing some of that with us.
Lol I love how you record openly around people. Most vloggers, including myself, feel awkward walking around talking into the camera haha. Hiding the camera and all just Making sure people aren’t around lol. And I Just found your channel! You have a positive cheerful personality! Dorky sometimes maybe, like myself lol! So I’m Definitely a subscriber now 😁👍
Loved the day in the life of Maddie. As a Nomad myself, it is always a challenge to find a decent hairdresser and nail salon. Talk about taking a risk! I do the same with checking reviews but have had some pretty bad experiences in both the US and abroad. The worst was in Morelia, Mexico at a nail salon that had great reviews but the girl had no idea what she was doing. She cut me by filing in a couple of areas so I had to apply antibiotic ointment for a few days and worry about infection. (Kind of like your bad tattoo experience 😂). Thanks for answering my gym question too as my husband and I find it hard to just buy a day pass at a gym. Most places want to charge you for a month or year contract. We have bought some resistance bands and microfiber yoga towels to work out with while we’re traveling and can’t find a gym. We walk a ton naturally but still miss free weights and a good yoga or Pilates class. One word of advice never let a dentist file down your teeth! As you age your teeth will naturally wear down and filing down perfectly healthy teeth can cause you to have problems with your bite as you age. Keep all of your teeth and their enamel intact.
Hi Madeleine! Your videos are very nice. It's good to see you are doing well. Wife and I will be going to DF soon and driving to surrounding towns and cities. Can't wait. You should be very proud of yourself young lady! God Bless!
I absolutely loved this video and your new haircut! It was really great to see everyday life in Mexico. So many videos are about tourist spots or how to immigrate. Very refreshing, thank you!
Maddie, I love your videos. You look so happy and your hair does look very nice longer, but I also like your new cut. Keep going and really 2023 will be your year, you deserve it. Stay true to yourself, you are glowing from the inside and out
Very nice to see you smile and laugh in your video . Your laugh is infectious. It makes me smile and laugh Your hair is getting long again too. Very nice. Keep smiling Maddie it’s like a ray of sunshine in this cold Canadian winter !! Cheers !!
Hey Girl, I really appreciate your content. I am in my early 70s. I need to travel to Mexico for health care. So I appreciate your sharing your dental, and medical choices when it is convenient. Happy New Year.
Awesome video MaddieGold! I like the short hair best. I am 4 weeks into Mexico living and absolutely love it. I will be glad when my Spanish is as good as yours. Thanks for another encouraging video!
Thank you for the new upload! Your presentation style and tone of voice along with your open honesty makes it feel like I’m watching a friend! Which of course is one directional so I can understand the way you feel if fans come up to you randomly lol. Can’t wait for the next one!
I love your honesty about some of the realities there like beans on different aisles, rare lemons, waiting awhile for taxis. These details you add in videos are appreciated!! thank you
Keep on rocking and rolling Maddie, Saludos desde San Miguiel de Allende, just moved here from NYC and watching your videos is strangely inspiring and comforting.
Great "day in the life" video, Maddie. As you know I lived in Ajijic for almost two years and I loved every day. You brought back so many memories of my time there. Riding the packed buses. Shopping at Walmart pretty well every week or so, although I preferred Super Lake because they had a lot better stuff than Walmart. I also never bought produce at Walmart because the produce at the weekly Wednesday market was always cheaper and fresher, plus the market was always fun. I only took a taxi once in all the time I was there because all of my Uber drivers were at some meeting. You only need to get them through Uber once and then they give you a card to call them direct. For me there were so many wonderful things about Ajijic. The many restaurants. Going to the show so cheaply. The burgers at Trip Burger. The doctors and dentists. The locals who were always so friendly and never criticized me for my Spanglish. Their values of family and faith first. The culture. The incredible festivals and parades. The perfect weather every day of the year. The scenery. The lake. I encourage you to stay there and do your travels from there. Buy a house and get into Real Estate. Also get out and enjoy the many fabulous bands that play at places like Adelita's, El Bar Co, and many other venues. Enjoy Centro and the Malecon as much as you can. Loved your apartment, your cooking, and even your hair, although I loved it long too. Love ya, girl!
Rainbow has been a pet since she was short of 3 weeks old. She was born into the Amber Troup ad a wild monkey. She was taken so young she has no memory as a wild monkey. No memory of her real mother Rose. She was turned into a pet and that is all she knows. Rainbow has no wild animal memory's or skills. She is now just like the other pets who were at some point taken from their mother leaving them with no survival skills just like Rainbow. Said for Rainbow. She missed that opportunity and the handlers owe Rainbow for interfering in her life along with these other pets that were taken from the wild.
I always feel better after watching your videos, it may seem hard at times but life gives us what we need. That crappy job or heartbreak made us more courageous to go for the next adventure, I admire your courage . Cheers
I have been watching your videos for years. Good job showing your day in Ajijic. That gym is nice and does not usually have too many people inside it. Good choice.
Hi Maddie! I was so impressed with your ability to explain what you didn't like about your last haircut and your wishes for the new haircut. I am still at the very beginning of learning spanish. Trying to explain that would be so beyond me right now. You sound so good! Your dinner looked great .. and now I'm craving asparagus!
@@MaddieGold To be honest! You look gorgeous with short hair too and you have a beautiful place to live So happy for you Saludos desde Southern California 🇺🇲 🇲🇽 🇨🇦
Loved hanging out with you! We went on the bus, to the dentist (nice teeth), shopping at Walmart, took a cab back to your place, made a delicious meal then had a sleep over. In the morning we enjoyed coffee, gushed over the fantastic leggings you found at a bargain (they do look amazing on you), did a little workout, was super impressed with your Spanish and you got perfect haircut. 2023 is the year for me!
Yoga pants are gorgeous, your chef self made delicioso food for you, yes, it's challenging to live alone sometimes but you are knocking it out of the park. Warmest hug Jennie
I’m so proud of you and yup you got this. I have lived in Nayarit for the last 6 years I have noticed how inflation has here. Also I have never washed my produce except with water never ever had a problem. Thanks again for sharing your time and life with us it’s important for what you do because it’s real life 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
this could be a great ASMR video while cooking your food, loved this video, I had a sh*tty day but it made me smile, cooking is one of the best things in life, saludos desde Pachuca Hidalgo, la bella airosa!
Thanks for sharing Maddie! I love the 'day in the life' videos as it really gives an authentic view of what it would be like to live in Mexico. You look really happy and I thought the haircut was super cute although I totally agree you have to live in it and style yourself to really see what it will be like! Never looks as good as when you leave the salon! Looking forward to the cost of living video as well. Love your motto for the new year🙂,
haha I cook like you do...with a little risk (or just guesstimating involved). Your haircut looks super cute! I guess I didn't realize you were living here since I saw a video about you looking for houses in Queretaro. I just moved from CDMX to Chapala a couple of weeks ago and I am loving it already.
Great video Maddie! Happy you had a nice time with your family over the holidays and now you are back in Mexico. I love living in QRO. I hope you move back here. Take care!
OMG I have never heard of or met another person, besides myself, that has a fear of talking on the phone. I would procrastinate an entire afternoon before dialing up and talking to a stranger. I would bribe anyone near me to make the call for me, even for ordering Chinese food. Glad to know I'm not alone, love your videos!
🥀💥.I have PTSD at the thought of calling someone or talking on the phone when it rings 🤷♀️ I get strong, unreasonable anxiety...my adrenals fire. It's takes me a lot of personal self-nurturing and understanding everytime. It's been over 40 years and still it's there. I know where it comes from (too many calls with bad or sad news) so it's not the call or phone, it's my thoughts creating the emotional response🥴
Same here. And when I was in real estate, I preferred emailing clients. I am an introverted yet friendly scorpio here and seriously hate talking on the phone! Gives me anxiety! And I feel when people know you don't want to talk on the phone, they try harder and it's so annoying lol.
Hi Maddie if you put the walmart app on you cell phone you can scan the upc to give you the price if there is no sign at that's how it works in the U.S.
HI Maddie, I have the same issue with my teeth and I also had invisaligns. I found out the hard way that the issue with the front alignment is likely a jaw issue and invisaligns will not fix that. Like me, you probably have a small jaw and that is why your upper jaw is not long enough to create that slight over bite we are suppose to have. Only a major jaw surgery will fix that kind of misalignment issue. So I wouldn't bother with invisaligns again. A mouth guard at night can help minimize the damage to the teeth.
Maddie you look very healthy now that is more important than anything. My coworker keep telling me move to Ajjijic I haven’t been there’s yet hope to see you there someday 🙏
