I also think being “unique” is trendy. Everyone wants to be different and then they just end up being the same. Just because you dress like other people doesn’t mean you aren’t unique. I wear what I wear because I like it and sometimes what I like is trendy.

Ah I can relate too that so much. My mum hates the way I dress because it's not that 'girl like'. And I do struggle a lot with self hate and not accepting myself but I'm trying and when she then always wants me to do wear what she wants, it stresses me out as hell.
