I love having a different perspective when I speak. I usually say I have to go grocery shopping or I need to clean the bathroom but I’ve caught myself saying that and changing it to I get to go grocery shopping and I get to clean the bathroom. It really changes your mindset.

I had an esthetician tell me that forehead acne is stress, cheek area is allergies, and chin acne is hormonal. Since you just got off bc and just got your period back, I would say it might be your hormones! Check your thyroid levels with your doc is my best advice :)

I relate so so much to your talk about restrictive eating and acne. I find no fun or pleasure in food anymore, I’m so worried everything breaks me out. I switched birth controls to try to help my acne but it made me go into a literal depressive episode I haven’t slept since late February. Anyway back to my old one for now until things are more stable to try coming off again. Thanks for sharing with us!!!

Do a Dutch test with a naturopathic doctor. I had so much chin acne after HBF and found out my estrogen is higher than it should be. Now that I’m working on it it’s helped a lot!!!

I got PRK which is the sister of LASIK. But 10/10 recommend to get refractive surgery done. I work in the field as well just remember you can have dry eyes, but symptoms are the same as contacts for dry eyes!

I have had so many friends get off birth control and they did a heavy metal detox before there skin cleared up! Personally celery juice on an empty stomach is the only thing that works to keep my skin clear and glowing! Hopefully this helps someone

I cannot recommend lasik enough! I was -8.25 and -8.75 in my contacts and could see zero things lol. The only negative is the more nearsighted you are, the worse your night vision gets afterwards (halos and glare). It’s still 100% worth it and I would do it 100 times over. You will love it!

the worse your prescription is and if you aren’t over 35 there’s a high chance of regression which they don’t tell you. I had it done when I was 31 at -7 and it’s now -.75 13 years later. I wish I had waited a bit longer but hard to know if that would’ve made a difference as my Rx was stable when I decided to go for the procedure. Still better than full time glasses tho!

@@cheryll5105 my surgeon actually warned me about that (I was 25 when I had the surgery) but I still went for it, and no regrets! It was also a lifetime thing, where if I ever want or need it re-done, it doesn’t cost me anything. I’ve worn glasses to work (computer screens all day) since, but I would 100% do it all over again! Changed my life

@@nbickel6949 Yes I think mine is guaranteed too but not sure I want to do it again at this point... my mom had cataract surgery (previously had lasik done) and because of the calculations needed to calculate for the correct lens and the added complication of measurements post lasik, they screwed up her surgery and her vision is worse! So I am weary for a second procedure...

Syd you may have perioral dermatitis rather than acne. Perioral dermatitis is similar to acne but it’s not, and is always only around the chin, nose mouth area. It can drift off to the bridge of nose and eyelids. Worth looking into, because if POD gets treated as acne it just will never go away properly.
