Hey broskis!
Today’s video is another marine biology student vlog if you wanna spend a couple days with yours truly. It was my last week before reading week so I was trying to get quite a bit of work done and get ready to leave to go home for a week! I had a couple practicals and some group work as well as a ramen night which was so much fun.
I hope you guys are having a great day,
Liv :)

Of course, I see!!! Do you have any university’s to recommend that offer a marine biology bachelor? And do you know anything about James Cook University? I’ve heard such mixed reviews about it! Thanks💙💙💙

No worries at all! What country are you looking to study in? :)

UK or Australia are the ones I feel most drawn to but I could consider anywhere as long as the school is good!@@livswholeliving

@@ella5800 That's so exciting! I only know bits about UK unis as that's where I'm studying so I can give you a rundown on some of the top UK unis for marine bio. Southampton is really great as they're linked with the National Oceanographic Centre so they have so many cool facilities as well as great networking opportunities. Exeter is really good as they're also quite well ranked and has international field trips and is more remote (could be a positive or negative depending on your opinion). Plymouth is also great with facilities and their links with the Plymouth Marine Laboratory and aquarium. They also offer a diving module as well as the University of Hull. St Andrews is also ranked really great for marine biology. I could make a video about the different unis if that would be helpful? I don't know much about Australian unis but I would recommend just looking at the course structure and the modules offered and see if they interest you. Look at how much field work you get to do as part of the course and if there are any field trips. A bit self explanatory but I would really recommend going to a uni close to the sea as otherwise you're not going to be getting that hands on experience. Look at the lecturers and see if their research interests you and also university rankings can be helpful to look at. I'd also look at general "non marine bio related" aspects of the uni to see if you're going to like the campus, culture, etc.! I hope that's somewhat helpful! :)
