Olivia, I'm going through cancer at the moment, and on 2 days of chemo a week, again, having relapsed 16 months after a bone marrow transplant - so I want to tell you that I think YOU are brilliant for raising that money for Cancer UK. That is just such a wonderful gesture of yours and Flossie's and I want you to know that people in my position, especially, will all really appreciate what you've done! Because more funding means more research, and while more research may not help me at this point, it WILL help thousands of others over the coming years. So a great big THANK YOU to you both from me!
@@adrianna9520thank you! This means a lot... So proud of Olivia for doing that sale for Cancer UK and I felt it needed a mention because it really WILL make a difference.
it makes me so happy that you're being smart and deciding having a dog isn't right for you rn!! the amount of ppl I know who've paid an insane amount of money for a puppy rather than adopting and then end up giving it away because they can't take care of it makes me sooooo mad. like dogs are a lot of work, especially puppies and idk how some ppl don't realize that lol. a cat is definitely the way to go when you've got a busy life!!
If you’re going to get a cat either be at home more or get two. It’s such a misconception that cats like being on their own. They’re independent sure but it’s on their terms, you can’t just leave them all day like people think! You’d be it’s whole life as it’s a house cat so it’s important to give it company whether that’s yourself or another cat, maybe from the same litter? But just make sure it fits in with your current lifestyle!💘
cats are soooo great for people with busy ish lives but want company when they’re home! if you never let them outside then they honestly do not care to go outside but if you let them out at first and then change your mind they would probably meow a lot to be let out because they’d get used to going out. one of my cats is a house cat and the other goes outside sometimes and honestly both are equally as happy
Cats do very well inside and house training them isn’t cruel at all especially when you live in a very busy area. Best to keep them inside than risking an accident outside.
The contraceptive patch is so good you literally change it once a week it’s so easy and everyone I know that’s on it doesn’t have many side effects it’s honestly changed my life ✌🏼
I have 2 female indoor cats and they’re so happy! They come into our garden with us supervised, but other than that they stay inside with us. They’ve just got a buuuunch of toys, cat trees and window seats etc x
I don’t know if you’ve considered it but I’ve had my IUD for almost 4 years and I love it! I’ve had no period this entire time, and my doctor informed me that studies have shown that the IUD is effective to up to 8 years.
I live in an apartment and have a house cat! He’s never been outside so doesn’t know anything different, I think if you rescued a cat that’s used to being outside then they wouldn’t like being stuck in all day. My cat enjoys looking out of the windows at the bugs but never meows to go out or is that interested! One issue is opening the windows, I have to be really careful to only open a small gap otherwise he will happily strut out and fall as we are on the first floor lol. But as long as you don’t open ur windows wide or let it sneak out then they are absolutely fine!!
I’ve had the implant for almost 7 years and it’s been an absolute dream for me, it’s difficult to go off of other people’s experiences though as everyone reacts to contraception differently 🥰
lol that wasn't my experience but everyone's body is different. I got the copper one and it was hell for a year until I got it out. Tempted to get the hormonal one though bc it's so convenient!
I have the IUD Olivia and its literally changed my life!!!!!!! its so good ... I don't get my period anymore, my skins clear, no babies .... get cramps every now and then but she's so slay could not recommend it more xx
Love where the bed and mirror currently are, maybe the wardrobe can go against the wall next to your bed? Though I can't tell if there's sufficient space there. Like you said, placing it where the mirror is could definitely work too, then the mirror could potentially go between your bed and windows
i got the implant 3 weeks ago & it definitely messed with my hormones a lotttt but everyone's experiences will always be different, you should give it a go, you can always get it removed! its so relieving knowing its there!
I’ve two cats both house trained we take them into our garden on their harness and leads and to parks , they love the house loads of toys and scratch poles stops them scratching furniture more , get a litter tray with a lid on top less smell then! Rescue a wee kitten loads of them being dumped so sad 😭 x
ive had the implant for 2.5 years now and have loved it. haven't had any of the behavioural or mood side effects whatsoever. i think its be worth it to try it out tbh
I really recommend getting the mirena coil! It’s the best thing I’ve got. Pills always used to work for me for a couple months then the side effects would start. But the coil is life changing and lasts years
Olivia please could you do a video on self acceptance? I’m really struggling to be myself and always feel like I’m not good enough 😪 I’ve become a self conscious shell of a person. Would love your advice 💖
Yes Olivia, the bed looks so much better on that wall. Your flat is beautiful! Wish I could have visited your shop in London. I’m on the Isle of Wight though! Xxxx
Cats do very well indoors as long as they have lots of toys and mental simulation ! :) also much better for the environment to keep them inside!! Also you can buy a harness and lead and take them for walks it looks abit weird but they love it 😭
This does depend on her neighbourhood though - its not safe for cats to be on leads in areas with lots of dogs and can stress some cats out quite a lot
I have 2 indoor cats! They’re super happy boys - so much safer than them being allowed out own their own. I’d deffo recommend getting 2 cats so they have each other for company when I’m out for most of the day x
My cat is an indoor cat with a litter tray and she loves it! Snoozing in the sun all day with treats on tap and no fear of being hit by a car? The dream x
The implant was so bad for me gained 13kg and got diagnosed w chronic anxiety which I didn’t have before. I got the copper coil and it’s the best decision ever - super painful when you get it done but basically no side effects bc there’s no hormones SO worth it!
I have a house cat! I’d say there are definitely certain breeds which do better as house cats like rag dolls and british short hairs! It’s also the BEST feeling coming home to a little cat and not an empty house 🥺
I’ve been on the implant since i was 15 (i’m 19 now) and i’ve not gained loads of weight since it, it actually cleared my acne and scars up instead of making my skin worse & my mental health has not suffered drastically cos of it. And it really *works* if you know what i mean, it definitely prevents pregnancy !
i have the implant and so do about 4 of my friends. we all really like it. the only down side one girl had was spotting every few months but the rest of us have never gotten a period in the 3 - 5 years we have had it. no bad side effects to do with weight gain. We all differ mental health wise (some struggling more) but never found it increased due to it. Depression can be just as much as a side effect with certain pills as well ❤️
@@carysjones8416 when I went to get my first taken out I said to the nurse I think I’ll have a break for a bit just to let my period come for a bit, and she was literally like why it’s not dangerous for you to not have one, so I just got the second put back in straight away 😂 it’s nothing to worry about I think you just don’t bleed as much as your uterus/ovaries isn’t having to release and egg or shed !!
@@carysjones8416 I’m not 100% sure but I’m pretty sure that’s why it happens !! The implant stops you from releasing an egg so I guess why would you need a period if there’s no eggs to release if that makes sense ?
Any side effects from contraception come from the hormones, i have the copper IUD which works using copper instead of hormones so i get noooooo side effects like low mood or acne anymore. its the best thing ever, literally 10 secs of discomfort for 5-10 years of not having to worry about how hormones are effecting youuu xxxx
When looking for cats from rescue centres you can get some cats that are indoor ones, it normally states it on their info but yeah some cats prefer being indoors! Xx
