Follow a Day in the Life of a D1 College Athlete as we Travel down to UCSD as UC Berkeley Swimming takes on UCSD swim and USC Swim. Watch the bears get after some fast times and learn what the routine of a college athlete looks like, on a travel day!
As always the Cal Men's Swim team throws down some fast times and has plenty of fun! Enjoy the Cal Men's Swim Team daily banter, swimming weight room session, and the fastest swimming in the NCAA take place. Go Bears!

There's a UCSD swimmer from a small town about an hour north of Seattle, swims breaststroke. Swimming is a small world, eventually everybody knows everybody.

I got the chance to race Jason Louser a couple of times in high school back in New York and I always looked up to him. Seeing him in the videos reminded me of watching him win states every year and why I love this sport!

It’s all based on speed. Our A squad went to USC and myself and everyone else went down to UCSD

Hey Kyle, what´s the average tuition at UC Berkeley for a business major?

The tuition is the same for all majors, however, in state tuition (if you are from California) is significantly less than out of state. However, financial aid makes everyone’s tuition different

What is the difference between a meet and an invitational?

Great question! So the meet was just us vs ucsd, that’s normal, 1 v 1 meet. The invitational was with some local club teams as well. In college, invitationals tend to have a couple other college programs at a meet

Great question, no we don’t, they order almost everything ahead and then we are also given money to buy other food such as snacks

I've been around a pool most of my life but really started competitive swimming around age 14, didn't start swimming club swim until 16. Really late for most swimmers but it shows that anything is possible.

After we say yes, all obstacles will be destroyed, I wish you success. i have a question i am 21 years old now if i work hard in america when can i become a champion it doesn't need to be a high level race like state champion i just want to get a medal i swam intermittently for 4 years when i was a kid but i am not a pro
