Girl, Mega Respect, I'm and old guy that grew up much like you in rural Ohio, you do more by noon than I ever did but the joys of leading the goat and horse to open field for the day, happy lap dog chickens free ranging with watchdog buddies and operating equipment, trucks and whatnot, Well You know, Dang memories you'll have for a lifetime :) I Absolutely Love And respect You and your Dad , You for your respect and love you give your animals and Dad for his guidance, support in everything you do, so many kids now just stare at a video game all day never leaving the house, You are a breath of fresh air and a new lite in your generation and it's a joy and honor sharing you and your farms growth with us, I'm sure I speak for about 30k people as well today.
Having worked, as a kid, on two of the four dairy farms on my street here in rural Western Massachusetts farm land, I've always subscribed to the philosophy that there is no better job to teach kids about responsibility, accountability, work ethic, life & death, equipment handling & safety, etc. than agricultural & dairy farming. Looking back at it, at 73, I wouldn't have done anything differently. Although I knew early on that it wasn't going to be my career, because I never saw a Farmer take a vacation!!! lol
I only hope my son finds a Country Girl my wife was raised on a farm and she has learned country ways and being married 20 yrs I'm still learning from her, being a city slicker I'm terrible on living off the land. My hats off to you, and on your knowledge.
