(I’m basically swamped with fall orders and soon Christmas, so I just haven’t had time to set that up yet.) Hi Jenny, I catch up on the news or watch other wreath makers. On Netflix, I cancelled the subscription because I’d spend too much time on it; too addictive for me.
Oh nice! I try and only watch Netflix when I’m making wreaths, or watching something with my husband. That way I’m not wasting my time either. I totally get that. When I’m not recording with my phone (link in this video 😆) I also like to listen to podcasts 🙌🏼
Thank for all your ideas and suggestions. May I ask what type of leaf you are using on many of your creations...long feather shaped silver-green leaf? I thought it must be eucalyptus of some kind, but I haven't been able to find any like yours. If this is a trade secret, I totally get it. Thanks again.🙂

Dorothy Beattie Hi! Interesting, I’ll have to check that out! And this was a pretty typical day. I made 6 here. It really depends on how many orders I have waiting. Sometimes I need to make at least 10 or more just to keep up. Especially this time of year. And in the summer I’ll usually just need to make a few a day.
I have to admit, aside from being a total stalker because you are a very insightful, inspirational, honest, and kind human being... that I am so super impressed with the way you put so much effort and detail into making your eucalyptus wreath!! Great video! Thank you for taking us with you for the day. I have a logistical question? For some reason I thought you had wreaths premade and then box them up as you sell them. I see from the video that you make them as you sell them (which makes so much more sense LOL). But how do you know you always have enough product to create the wreath that sold? Do you have a set number of designs up on your Etsy page and just make sure you have them stocked? Just curious as you inspired me to start making wreaths and I like doing it so much, I'd like to start selling them. Don't worry, I'm not competition LOL. My wreaths are a little... welll... elementary. Which is OK with me for now :) Bless you!
Great question! I know how much materials each wreath needs, so I list according to how much supplies I was able to get. If I have multiple wreaths that use a lot of the same materials (like lamb’s ear), I will spread out how many I have available among the wreaths that use those materials. If one sells more often than the others, I will add more available to the better selling listing and take some away from the less popular listing. When my stock gets low, I’ll count more accurately. I hope that makes sense.
Hi Jenny, love watching your videos. Our days are so similar!!. I told you before how I’m a florist but have just started a wreath shop on Etsy in England. Please feel free to tell me to mind my own business 😂 but I was wondering how much (no need to be specific btw) you put into advertising on Etsy when you first started. I’m determined that me doing this isn’t going to cost us anything so I’m only paying £1 per day. I’m making sales..I’ve been doing it for about 2 months & i’m averaging about 3 wreaths a week. I just don’t know whether I should put more money into it. On another note..how annoying is it that when someone buys something as a “guest” they can’t leave a review?. It’s so unfair, I put a business card in with the wreaths & people have phoned me in tears because they’re so happy with it but they can’t leave a review. Most of my customers are “guests” 😔. Our boys start back to school tomorrow (Wednesday) they’re only 4 & 5. I’m nervous but I’m so ready for it!! It’s 7 months since the schools closed here. My husband always has the day off for the 1st day back too. We always have homemade pizza night as a tradition..it’s total carnage 🙄🤣. Thank you again for making these videos. Xx
Selina Hughes Hi! Thanks so much for watching! I actually have never put any money into advertising. And I think 3 wreaths a week is great for when you’re just starting out! Definitely more than I averaged my first year! As for the Etsy guest thing, I know it can be a bummer when you have such a happy customer and they can’t leave a review. But if they send you a personal message, maybe you can ask their permission to share that on social media or something like that. Yes!! So excited about school FINALLY being back! Our have been out since March, so not as long as you, but still feels so long lol. And I love that tradition! Sounds fun!
