As someone who used to work retail, every day is another chance to be amazed at how dumb the general public is. Love the content.

My favorite one is "can you cancel my bid? My son accidentally bid." If you don't have patience you probably shouldn't sell on ebay cause it will definitely test your patience. It doesn't even bother me anymore. Just like you I cancel and block and move on with my day.

You’re right on the whole reading thing. I had a guy try to cancel a sale because he didn’t read the description. As a seller, you have to find your product, take pictures, list, ship, and as a buyer all you have to do is KNOW what you’re buying. I listed in my description that the card was damaged and won’t grade well, but the buyer chose to bid on the auction before reading. He was upset at me because I didn’t put it in the title, but I had great pictures of it and put it in the description. People are lazy, read what you’re buying!

Yesterday I woke up to my dog of 14 years murdered by a coyote or owl. Teddy was always my best friend and was a friend to the whole family extended. This event had traumatized me and for some retarded reason I bought into breaks today after I hadn’t in over a month. Just a lesson for you out there. Don’t expect traumatic things to pass from materialistic wellness. It’s always good to step away and appreciate what you have while you still have it. Money doesn’t buy happiness.

I agree that is a bunch of BS buyers canceling orders for stupid reasons, but on the same note. It’s annoying when sellers cancel auctions that didn’t get as high as they expect lol

I messed up a listing laat week. Gunner Henderson base psa 10 bowman best but listed mistakenly as a refractor. Seller mesaaged me, i apologized and ask him how much he would like as a refund. Ended up refunding $8 and got a postive feedback from it. Moral of the story, mistakes happen, own up to it and take responsibility for your actions.

The dumb questions from buyers can be annoying, but lately it's been the sellers that have been more of an issue for me. Almost every card is wrapped in a ton of bubble wrap and packing tape like a mummy. Or it's not protected enough. I just had someone send me a $50 Tank Dell auto in a plain white envelope with no sleeve or top-loader, just wrapped in a sheet of normal paper. Of course it was damaged.

The amount of clowns who mistake their address, their bid, whatever the hell else and expect you to hold their hand and fix it then turn themselves into a victim when you won't is too damn high

How you only have 5k followers is beyond me? You are a must watch for anyone new getting into this madness. So the past 2 days I had my biggest high and low with eBay… sold my most expensive set and biggest profit last night only for today to get an email from a buyer that bought 2 weeks ago that it was a fraudulent transaction and they wanted a refund. Spoke with eBay and luckily they said I had seller insurance (or something) and that since it went through authenticity that I wouldn’t be in the hook for the $500.

You have to love the low feedback bottom feeders telling you what is right. Some idiot last night told me that my Mickey Mantle signed book was never going to sell for the starting price, and he would gladly pay $120 less for it…..less than 30 minutes later, it sold. And the buyer paid! I quickly messaged him to throw in his face that it sold and he could go you know where…. It sucks that these bidders are doing shady stuff all the time now. Nice video!

It really dumbfounds me how these folks are buying expensive pieces of cardboard, but one little setback and they are in dire straits. Do not buy if you can't afford an emergency. Do not buy if you are living paycheck to paycheck. Get your shit in order before you jump into an expensive hobby like sports cards. i get most are excuses, but some are just legit poor and putting money into paper they can't afford. Addiction and stupidity is real on Soooo many levels.

I've been selling cards on Ebay for a long time and I have learned to deal with stupid. I hate the crooks and scammers but I hate the non-paying tool bags the most.

As usual SCV, great video 👏 I have had a few idiot eBay sellers cancel orders on some Caleb Williams cards recently so now I have decided not to buy any for a while. Great job to them on negatively affecting their market as if they really care. One of the cards I didn’t even have a chance to pay before he canceled. I hope to be able to leave some feedback if that becomes available. Not sure if I will be able to, can’t remember, it’s been a while since this exact type of situation has happened to me but believe me I will if I am afforded the opportunity. Don’t run an auction if you will not like the outcome. I mean basic common sense.

Man lately it seems like every card i buy off eBay thats a good buying price, or if its a card for my pc i really want, NEVER makes it to my mailbox anymore. You can almost guarantee that if tracking info is unspecific or not available, its not coming. So discouraging that i expect not receiving the card even before bidding or offering. But sometimes i buy 3 or 4 of the same card for my pc and receive them all when i only want one of them. Makes me sick also. Fuk'm if they dont, Fuk'm if they do. eBay is so unsatisfying im on it every day sometimes for HOURS pretend buying shit til it does show up in my mailbox🤬

You get some real gems in all walks of work life. I telework, and in my position where I've been almost a decade I've seen people watch porn while on zoom calls, fall asleep on their couch with their cat during meetings, unknowingly show their tax returns while sharing their "other" screen, driving and singing along to music, and on and on. Heck one person in my line of worlk was arrested for child porn. Society is something else...for lack of better words...

I use to think I wasn’t very smart when I was younger. Then when I went out into the world I would do a double take when stupid shit was said by someone. I usually think they must be messing with me, but no, there are crowds of stupid people out there! I just started selling off some extra cards I have on eBay and already had a guy say he couldn’t pay the $350 for the card but could cover $300 and can I wait until he has the funds for the other $50. I just canceled and moved on. I don’t think I will like to continually deal with these people. Great video content!

Had 2 morons message me to cancel 2 different sales within 36 hours. One was a bid and the other was a best offer in which the “buyer” countered my offer and I accepted his counter offer. He then proceeded to message me the next morning and told me that he tried to cancel it. I messaged him back and asked him “cancel what, you sent me the offer and I accepted- I didn’t send you that offer” and then he proceeded with some BS with a ton of misspellings in his message. Made me think of your past videos SCV, I just had to laugh at this clown. I flat out told him I don’t understand what he is trying to say. And then he goes on about wanting to send another offer and not the one he sent me. I had just under a dozen “Watchers” and 2 other offers. I took his offer which initially was a fair offer and then he pulled that, trying to shake me down $10. I canceled it, reported him to eBay (if that even does anything 🙄) and blocked him. Idiots that do this should be charged a fee, or some sort of % of the initial sale to kick back to the seller for wasting our time.

Funny how he seemed to know so much lingo, how to spin and somehow make it seem it was SCV’S fault for putting in a cancel request?! Not a fan of cancelling bids when it's obvious they're making something up. They're requesting you to cancel it because they don't want to get a bid retraction strike on their account.

Wow, I’m cringing listening to this. My experience (knock on wood) is a complete 180. I do 100% competitively priced buy it now’s. 20k items sold in 3 years and not once have I had someone cancel a significant order for “medical expenses” or some nonsense lie. It seems like there is this weird sports gambling element to these auctions where it’s attracting all these flakes. With buy it now, I’m not lifting a finger unless someone is already committed to buy, no bs, no lack of payment ect.. its already done. Works for me with 100% less stress.

Another great video. I haven’t really tried selling on eBay but I have met some sellers who should be locked up and/or need a helmet for everyday tasks. Unfortunately I have learned to understand the true language of the nation of dumba$& aka most of society. The guy (timestamp 11:15) was asking what kind of prizm box you pulled the purple Will Levis card out of. Like hobby, retail, blaster etc. He must not know you don’t buy wax. Guess he figures instead of buying your card he will be able to buy wax and get it cheaper 😂😂😂

lol now he's reframing being shady to help people learn to read descriptions when he first said he didn't want to hurt the potential sale prices of the cards by stating they were damaged in the title. It's one thing to post cards like that because it's easier, it's completely different strategizing to do it in hopes of getting a buyer who doesn't read the description before bidding.

Just my opinion on the "In the description issue" You're definitely NOT being shady in any way. You put every detail about the cards in the description area where that information is supposed to be. People need to stop being fuckin lazy and do their due diligence.
