In NY, they don’t even show you houses unless you are pre-approved and have funds secured. Mainly because the market is hot and super competitive.

I'm surprised that your realtor put your house back on the market for a lower price so soon. It may be taking a little longer for your house to sell because other homes in your neighborhood are also up for sale, as you mentioned. Did those homes sell out already? Even in a downturn economy, a buyer does come along. It's just a bit of a waiting game. I hope that your realtor is supportive in this process. Stay strong; you still have the rest of this month to see what happens.❤❤

Hey Amanda! Not sure if you had addressed it in a previous video but what's the reason for the rush to sell your current house? You can still move to the new-build and list your old house. Wouldn't it be less stressful to do it that way? Or do you plan on channeling the proceeds of the sale toward the new house? Again, my apologies if you had addressed it in a previous video. 💕

No worries! I don't think I addressed it specifically, but we have a contingency in our contract for the new house stating that we have to be closed on our current house in order to close on the new house (basically we will use the money we make on the sale of our house as a down payment on the new house). We definitely cannot have two mortgages! lol Thanks for asking!

How stressful for a seller! But as a buyer it’s also a gamble! Good luck! It’s always stressful when buying and selling homes, even in a good market! Blessings to you and your family! I also love Nov and Dec for the holidays and family time! Everything is a learning curve!!! Hang in there

Hi Amanda, I've been watching video for a long time but first time commenting because I am in the similar house situation. Listed my house in July and had several buyers signed contract and walked away, some happened in option days, some happened almost 2mo after sign day, because of their mortgage approval... I was frustrated, scared and worried. Even have to have attorney involved because of earnest money issue. Got a new agent. Now we are trying to do dual listing for rent and sale. It's holiday season now and I don't expect any solution within this year. I felt like a failure managing the situation and my finance. But I believe it's still going, and your house will have a solution soon too!

Ugh, we had this happen 3 times on our house in Austin in January 2020. We had 10 offers to start with, and it was so frustrating that we had to go back on the market and lose the momentum. I feel for you.

I feel for you Amanda. Houses just are not selling here where I live. The interest rates are too high and the cost of housing here is just not reachable for young people. Rent is also through the roof. It’s a sad situation here with our terrible PrIme Minister Trudeau who raises the cost of everything. But here if you put in an Offer in a house and you go in firm there is no way out. Unless the rules here in Canada have changed. Good things happen to good people. Things will work out. You will be living in your new home before you know it.

How many calories is your coffee?

The only thing in my normal coffee that has calories is the heavy whipping cream which is 50 cals per tablespoon and I only do a splash so maybe around 25-50 calories!

We sold last year and we're one of the few that went through quickly. Be cautiously aggressive. I know realtors call it a seller's market even if contracts fall through left and right. We weighed the amount of mental effort to ride out the market vs dropping the price and we were so happy to move on.
