A day in the Life as Japanese Egg Factory Worker in Japan. This is a typical day working in a Japanese factory from morning until night. The average factory worker in Japan works a set amount of hours ever day as you'll see. Also, in Japanese factories, it’s very common to have more part-time shift workers, than full-time workers. In this egg factory, 80% of the workers are part-time and 20% full-time. Kenta works at Yachiyo Poultry, a well-renowned egg factory in Japan with a proud 95 year history running it’s own farms. In Japan, TAMAGO aka eggs have a place in every meal which is why it’s no surprise that the country ranks as the 2nd highest consumer of eggs globally, each person consuming on average 339 eggs per year. Also, there is quite a lot Japanese work culture that can be seen in this video. For example, punctuality, is a deeply ingrained aspect of Japanese work culture, emphasizing the importance of being fully prepared and ready to work before the start time, rather than simply arriving at the start time. I hope you enjoy this day in a Japan factory focused on delivering the freshest eggs in Japan and can see why many Japanese can safely eat raw eggs in Japan.

To everybody commenting on the state of Kenta's apartment, you need to understand that the Tokyo metropolitan area is VERY expensive. Have you ever noticed that most of the people Paolo spotlights have above-average careers, such as owning a factory or working at a major company as a game programmer? Their apartments/houses are outliers. The average Tokyo apartment is closer to the size of Kenta's in my experience

It's not the size, it's the clutter, the lack of organize, how he shoves the bedding into a closet instead of neatly folding it, and the fact the lack of cleaniness continues into other rooms. Japanese are taught to be endlessly clean and careful and here a stark opposite. I do realize many clean up and tidy their home before the video, but it's surprising.
@CollideWithTheSlope
@CollideWithTheSlope Месяц назад
Dude, i think people are pointing out how he seems to give no attention to the tidyness or cleanliness of his home, not the size of it. You can have a small apartment yet still be clean & tidy af. I’m a living proof of that. And besides i dont think that someone should need THAT much stuff when in the end you couldn’t even find most of it due to the poor storage management. And to think that he works in a factory that demands its workers to sanitize themselves everyday right before entering the office.

I love how realistic Kenta's home is, it really takes guts to show it exactly as it is to not just one or two people but to the entire world. We really need to normalize homes that are not always minimalistic or perfect, Kenta opened up his home so people could see into a day of his life, the least people could do is be respectful towards the guy :/ Thanks for sharing a day in your life with us Kenta! Thanks Paolo for this great informative video! 12:27 For the guy testing the freshness, I was feeling quite sad to see a whole bucket of eggs that were tested, do they just get thrown out even if they were good? 😢 I'm curious how many he tests in a day and how much goes to waste everyday even if they were good eggs huhuhu bur I totally understand this is necessary to ensure the product being sold is in its best condition.

I've been raising chickens for over 10 years and the rich orange color is from the chickens having access to wild greens, bugs, and flowers. The better their diet the darker the orange coloring. This is why the commercial eggs here in the US are a pathetic pale yellow and taste so bland. Their chickens are raised in chicken houses with only commercial feed to eat. If you want to eat raw eggs it doesn't matter what continent you're living on. Find a local farmer like me that doesn't wash their eggs. The natural bloom from the chicken is far more effective at protecting and preserving the egg then washing them. Washing the eggs speeds up the expiration date by months. So only wash them when you're ready to eat them. Otherwise just keep them refrigerated.

That's neat that they use べツドタウン. I thought "Bedroom Community" was specifically an American English term. That's why Japanese is such a cool language. And the dude likes Jimi Hendrix, so he's cool in my book.
