I hope to possibly work in the NICU one day but not as a nurse but as a respiratory therapist! RTs are equally as important as nurses are! I’m grateful for both nurses and RTs!

how long do you have to go to school for this job?❤

You can take the NCLEX after getting an associates degree (2 years of nursing school) otherwise you could get your bachelor’s (4) to become an RN, after that depending on the place you’d need a certain amount of clinic hours experience. Most places do prefer a bachelors, again just depends on the place so I’d say 4 years.

NICU stands for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It’s where newborn baby’s go for care. The difference between NICU and ICU is NICU is for newborn babies while ICU is for everyone above 18.
