Happy birthday man! You’ve been a huge inspiration for me, as I’m switching my major to computer science. It’s scary, but I’m sure I’ll love it a lot more than pre-med 🤞
I watched your previous video about the strugles before you started programming. I was kinda there between 20-25 years of age, after that I started my Sys Admin journey...been hard stuck for the past 7 years and man the last year was so hard for me emotionaly...I seem to always get attached to the wrong people. You inspired me to start learning Devops and levelup, its hard to stay focused as i'm getting distracted by drepresion and toughts...i'm doing it in small steps but I'm trying my best. Happy Bday and thank you !
hey bro! thank you for the bday wishes 🫶 man relationships hit the hardest i've had similar experiences in my life aswell so i know it can be difficult to keep pushing... for me what helped on the long run was trying to keep my health in order and my sleep. the results were not immediate but over the years ive definitely noticed significant improvement on mental health if you have some energy during the day try to use it on something that feels productive and that you enjoy doing, devops would be a good candidate for it 🫡
First saw your video about how you replaced gaming with coding after first have seen bigboxSWE videos, and i gotta say i'm in a very similar situation to how yours was and i've been thinking about studying to become a software engineer recently. Huge thanks for the videos, they help to give alot of insight. Much appreciated
I just have found out this channel, and man, congratulations for what you have achieved and your great transformation!!🚀🚀 As a 19 years old Computer Sciences student you are a huge inspiration! Have a great day and happy birthday!! 🌠🌠🎈 🎈 🎁 🎂
thank you for the bday wishes 🫶 and also yeah i try to just say the thing i want to talk about in the video and just cut it instead of dragging it longer with some bs 💀
thank you bro! currently cutting, i got a bit too soft earlier this year but have already lost alot of weight so thats good 🤝 appreciate the birthday wishes aswell my friend thank you 🫶 and no worries i'll continue making these vids these kind of comments motivate me even more 🫡 #maketechcoolagain
was a fun day and it was needed, again soon homie!💯 Eating unhealthy or drinking, having a night out with friends isn’t bad as long as you get your shit done that you must and need to do. Having time periods dedicated to productivity in yourself, your job, school, your goals, you name it. Only after that having a night out going to the matrix is justified imo🙌🏽
What an inspiration! super nice what you have reached my bro Also wanna learn coding cuz im such a nerd but not using my potential.. tanks so much for sharing your tips and stuff ❤ Wish u all the luck that life can offer🍀 😊
thank you brother ❤️ coding is also fun as a job, the tech industry in general is so cool you get to do cool stuff everyday and get paid. so highly recommend coding for you 👊 appreciate the support aswell 🫶
@@LukeMadeIt I’m just switching from sales to coding. I’m still super green. But with bard and gpt, each day I can push the needle forward even just a little bit. Your are a super inspiration
thank you bro for the bday wishes 🫶 and yeah like money wise longer vids would be 1000x better not earning almost anything from yt rn but tbh i dont want to make the videos longer if i dont have more to add to the topic you know?
Happy birthday man!! Hope it was a great day and you had a blast (from the video it looked like so, I'm happy for you!) Btw what app are you using to track your sleep? I want to track mine aswell but the ones I've used were not that great. Oh, and I'd like to challenge you to create an open source project where we could contribute. It would be fun for you and us viewers since we'd get the opportunity to work with eachother and learn a lot. sharing good practices we learn along the way and helping one another. I don't know what exactly could be the project, but it would be fun for sure :) Edit: I know as a software engineer that time is not always on our side and can be hard to create and maintain such project and I understand if you don't have time for it. It's just an idea :)
thank you for the bday wishes man ❤️ for sleep i use the Ouraring, disclaimer i work there also haha but still i think its awesome and gives me accurate and good data. that opensource project idea is a good one! do you think others would be interested in something like that aswell? id also want to host a hackathon and stream it and have a price for the best projects but want to get as many participants for it as possible so not just yet 🤔
@@LukeMadeIt You are welcome! Thanks for the app name, makes total sense you use it in order to test it properly :) I'd definitely join and I believe a lot of other people would join and contribute aswell!! And the hackathon seems an excellent idea too!! I won one a few months ago and now I don't know what project to do, but would be an interesting challenge for sure! And I think you are right, maybe let the ideas marinate, gather more people and, then, announce the hackathon!
hey bro! ill list out some stuff here for you: mic: rode wireless go 2 editing: davinci resolve 18 camera: iphone 14 pro max voice to text: capcut lmk if you wanna know more 🫡 appreciate the comment too 🫶
happy late birthday man what programming languuge did you learn first i am lost as i want to learn c++ but dont know how to learn it i know it sounds dumb
hey bro! thank you so much ❤️ and it doesnt sound dumb at all, my advice is always the same. pick one language and just learn the fundamentals of coding using that language, for that id recommend doing a course at first and after the course some personal projects 🫡 but dont switch languages all the time just stick to one so you truly learn to code first
now few questions: 1) what programming language did you learn in that course? 2) the course you were talking about that you had to go through how long did it take? was it like an employee guarantee type of course? 3) after you had finished that programming course, were you recommended by someone to a company, did you look for a job to a specific company or you were automatically hired after finishing by companies sponsored by that course? 4) how did you improve your coding skills? did you take leet code tests? and if so up to what difficulty? 5) what books would you recommend for people to learn code better, let's say for your learnt language what books would you recommend?
Hey bro! 1. Python the course is called "python mooc 2023" 2. I actually went to university after the first course it took me like 6months to get into university but the coding course itself like 2months or something 3. No i went to uni and created projects on my own and applied on linkedin to every place i saw 4. By making projects, i havent done too much leetcode 5. I didnt read any books on coding tbh 💀 i just focused on making projects and coding i have a longer video on this on the channel if youre interested but basically did a coding course, went to university for CS and got an internship and from that internship got a fulltime job 🫡
@@LukeMadeIt yoo thx for the response i also wanna ask you. python is known for it's simplicity but many say it's often used for ai, machines automatics etc, you work as a backend creating apps maintaining sites or..? like i know more java and i wanted to try out python
bro! python can be used for EVERYTHING the company i work for we have million + users and some of the backend is implemented with python! i work on fullstack tho so a bit of everything 🫡
Hey bro I seen some of your videos about how you changed video game habits into coding. Do you still play any games because I feel like it’ll be so hard for me to just drop them. Do you know what I mean?
hey bro! tbh nowadays i dont game almost at all and the thing is you shouldnt just drop them, you should instead find something else you enjoy and replace gaming with that other activity. if you just drop it then its hard to actually stick to it since you now have alot of freetime which you dont know how to use 🤔 so instead of dropping gaming try to replace it little by little
@@LukeMadeItmakes sense I appreciate that another thing is I’m in a Java course and my Java coding is really bad I’m not good at coding yet any advice to get better at Java fast?
honestly, there are no shortcuts you just have to keep pushing. id recommend actually that you just stick to the course youre doing rn and finish that one dont switch midway through its just going to confuse you more imo 👀
tbh on the job dont use them at all, at university math is a must tho and literally i just had to grind my teeth and just put the time in. there werent any shortcuts for me when it came to math classes but got through them still with good grades, ill show in another vlog actually my grades 🫡
Hey bro. I'm geniunely wondering what your academic background like ? What schools did you go to and what led to this ? I've been gathering info like this because i'm at a decisive turning point. I've fully been into web dev for about 7 months now, but i dont do anything close to that in high school yet. Hopefully next year though after i graduate.
hey bro! so my university is "University of Helsinki" before that I was just in regular high school and elementsry school etc for education id say its not required to get into the field but it surely helps. helped me slot when i was seeking my first internship and most internships are reserved for active students aswell so theres that 🤔 but right now i dont even have a degree and im still working fulltime as a SWE but i would not have gotten to this point if i wasnt enrolled into university when i was seeking for my first internship 👀 my path has been like zigzag i guess 🤣
@@LukeMadeIt Damn i see yeah. I redid my last year of high school because my interest in web dev and programmation ad a whole literally spiked in the start of 2023. I was taken into a prep school but due to the fact that id only study maths and chem and barely do any coding for 2 years, i decided to redo it and jump straight up into comp sci after hs, so i can get a decent degree.
hey bro! for fun i usually do something like this video with my friends but not everyday ofc haha normal weeks i just focus on work gym youtube etc and then see my friends also thank you for the bday wishes ❤️
Happy Birthday bro, I wanted to know if software engineers can work for a country in a first world country and live and work in a third world country where cost of living is lower.?
hey bro! thank you for the bday wishes really appreciate it ❤️ also yes it is for sure possible to do that but not easy, although i think it would be easier if you were willing to move to the country you want to work at 👀
tbh it can be a trap to blindly just copy whatever the AI says and using it so im not sure how i feel about it i say this because i would have definitely used AI alot if chatgpt and stuff was out when i started so i know it would have hindered my own progress
hahaha brother my friend works at that hotel so everything you see in this video is almost free 💀 but i'll still make a video exposing my salary and my youtube pay very soon
Tuli toi sun "how I replaced gaming with coding" video kuukausi sit etusivulle, kun sillä oli 300 näyttökertaa ja on kyl siisti nähä et jäbän kanava kasvaa huimaa vauhtia!
i’ve done a little bit of coding with python and have done a little bit of Cs50. i’m a freshman in highschool and on the weekends i would rather just play video games instead of coding. I am very interested in programming but i can’t seem to get it to stick. please someone give me a suggestion
well the thing is youd rather play games because you dont have clear goals for your coding path sot its hard to stay consistent with it if you dont know why youre doing it 🤔 also does your school offer a coding course or some credits if you complete a coding course? if so then just do a course on coding for school and youre forced to complete it 👀
as soon as you can you should take it bro and in the meantime whenever you have enrgy you should do the course "python mooc 2023" imo its good for beginners
hey bro! getting an internship ur freshman year is HARD but possible i did it aswell but was hard work. pay depends heavily where you live, check glassdoor.com for example for accurate salaries in your area
very true bro but not making this for the money atm, would be pretty terrible if i slap a minute long ad into a 3min video anyways 💀 i might start bleeping them but i dont even curse alot imo so dont think its a problem i also want people to see that im a normal human and not perfect
@@LukeMadeIt I can see that you are honest and show that your down to earth and relatable. It's a refreshing personality and one that I haven't come across anywhere else. Follow your gut instinct and be adaptable. Most importantly have fun making videos, good attitude to not care about monetisation at the moment and just to enjoy it. looking forward to your journey :)
