Taking motivation from you to be an ux designer you're so good, can't wait to live a calm, working & peaceful life like you. Best wishes from my side for your future.
Your channel is exactly what I've been looking for to take my first steps to become a ux designer, will you ever do a video about your favorite design tools?
Hi!! Thank you so so much for this video! I’m studying on my own UX design and sometimes I get very overwhelmed. Watching your videos make me feel calm and also I get to learn a lot! Also thanks for explaining what “Information Architecture” was because I never truly get it until you explained what it was 😅 Thank you again 🙌🏾 and good vibes from Dominican Republic ✨
Hii amazing video. Thank you for your effort to show us a realistic 9-5 vlog for a UX designer. BTW can you please tell me where did you get your white shirt? I loved it! thank you
How did you get into UX Design? I made a career change from performing arts (creative and psychology side) to study a Level 3 in IT (technology side) and think UX could be perfect for me; but I don't have 'professional' experience in the field and without it would struggle to get an interview. I've looked at the UX Design Institute at their 6 month online course. Any suggestions Lily?
Great video! I’ve been working as a freelance graphic designer for 2 years, and I’m thinking about going after a ux certification. So I’m researching, thank you for sharing your day in the life. Keep up the great work! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hi Lily. Would you say UX designers are more in demand than UI or both are just as desired? Like, which job do you think would be easier to travel with?
your videos are so aesthetically pleasing and inspiring! as someone trying to get in UX i almost always watch one of your videos in the morning before beginning my online courses to keep myself inspired and motivated :)
Hi Lili! I'm ching careers right now and find your content very inspiring. Thanks so much for sharing. Do you think that you could share your portfolio? Would love to see what you've done. Thank you!
I’m in the technology field at my job, I create bug and enhancement tickets for our developers. I also do QA testing. It amazes me how much time and meetings to just discuss a new change on an app. lol
Is ux a good job to do for like between jobs ?, for example I worked in tv and film but depends on the seasons sometimes there is period where nothing much is going on , I worked in art department mainly doing graphics but a bit of everything and I just would love to know if the same skills would apply to ux ?. I mainly use adobe software for designing .
Hey! so the good thing about UX work is a lot of it is contracted for a specific project, so if you did bits and pieces here and there while you're in your off season for film that would work out :) There's a bunch of websites for contracter work but im not too familiar with them
100%! Having that on your CV is a plus, because they know you understand developers and can talk their ‘language’ in terms of what’s feasible with design
Sorry for the dumb question, but isn't want your doing considered UI design as well? Since you were dealing with the layout and such. Sorry, I am very ignorant on these things.
Ux jobs usually covers all planning, research, wireframes, visual design and prototype. UI jobs are usually limited to visual design + prototype after confirmed wireframes made
@@itslilycameron Firstly, I am shocked and loved the fact you responded! Thank you! Oh I see, thank you. So UX Design covers everything? Then why do some people call themselves UX/UI designers and not just UX? Been taking Web Development courses, but lately been looking into UX Design more so. Do Web Developers basically create when the UX designer makes, do they not have a say or help design at all? And is UX just apps, or also websites?
i love this! i noticed you took a break from 12-1 and then 3:00-3:45, is your job flexible in that sense? I heard a lot of jobs in tech are flexible and as long as your work gets done, you can take breaks like that. Any insight would be appreciated
Im going into college soon, and want to become a ux designer. What degree should I go for. Should I go for something super specific like HCI or Ux design. Or something broader like computer science or software engineering? Are there any certifications that I can work on getting while in college? Do I need a stem degree if I have these certifications? I know its alot of questions, but I want to have my life together so that Im not being thrown to the sharks
For a time I didn't know what beauty was....and then I looked at you with that hairstyle and dressed like that. Flattery aside, amazing vlog as always Lily, hope you're doing well, and that those changes that you mentioned are for the best.
