An old sales trick: Always get the name of the guy that referred you to someone else. When you go in to talk to that person, say "John told me to come see you to discuss your vending machines". Probably wouldn't have helped in that scenario, but you'd be surprised how many doors that will get you in.
You’ve been doing RU-vid all this time giving free business tips so you charging is completely understandable. Your time is money and you spent a lot of time on these videos and the course and it is greatly appreciated. God bless bro
I love how you included footage of not quite securing the deal. I think it's an important part of being a business owner and that its not all sunshine and rainbows
The fact you're relatively new to vending and you have card readers and remote DEX is awesome. I've seen a lot of large scale companies go without those, or not utilize the remote DEX feature. My parents used to own a vending business and I worked with them up until they sold the company, so I know a ton about all sorts of different aspects. Good luck to you!
You guys were my inspiration to help me and some friends start our own vending machine business. Right now I’m really struggling try to get locations but hopefully we’ll get somewhere soon. Thanks for all the helpful tips and entertainment, keep it up!
Invest in something that will benefit both your business and your customers. Many spend hundreds of dollars for the satisfaction of a fully personalized massage, but you can give your customers the convenient relief they seek for a small fraction of cost. The Gagake ISPA Vending Massage Chair is an effective way for Hotels, Airports, Parks, Shopping malls to make money, attract customers and keep them in your store or business longer.
You have to also take into account you have to pay the credit card fees monthly. You have to be able to fix the machine if it breaks and get parts. You might get a lead that has a drink already and coke or Pepsi might service that drink machine. We have locations where coke services the drink machine and the snack machine still does really well. It’s about the number of people that frequent the business. You also won’t have access to Home Depot, Lowe’s and other big box stores as they have national contracts with vending companies. You also need to think about commissions if they want one, renting a move truck with lift gate or buy one. Vending is not get rich quick as a lot of that money goes out in bills and you need to buy other machines and learn how to keep them clean and working. Also helps to have a backup machines in case one machine can’t be fixed or they don’t make the parts for that model anymore. You also need insurance because if your machine sparks and starts a fire, your responsible. Other than that good luck. Talk to some actual experienced vendors and you’ll see. I’ve been in vending for 14 years.
Lmao calm down you seem upset I’ve been in business for 20+ years those National contracts aren’t that hard it’s about service, reputation and relationships. Most national contracts get assigned to local venders like if your able to provide the service that they need and are reliable. I have machines inside 80% of the Sams Club locations in my city both break room and food court/exit areas, 75% of all LA fitness gyms in my city along with Lowe’s and Home Depot and other big box retailers. This business is all about customer service, reliability and networking. Most importantly it’s a numbers/volumes game. Enough volume where I buy truck loads from sams/dr pepper/Pepsi for special pricing. So much product Dr. Pepper gives me machines free of charge and access to parts for maintenance at $0 cost. Like I said it’s volume and relationships, yes it’s hard work but the profits are worth it if you do it correctly.
Ive been vending for 28 years, i come to these videos to laugh at the comments by soo many clueless people.....i do like Jamie's little business and how efficient & organized he is....keep up the hard work
The motel might have the basics down: fill it with food, pull out cash. But the first time they have trouble with their vending machine, they are going to be in pain. You could have sold them a vending machine service contract if you've become an expert in all the models. You could even offer to mod their vending machines to accept credit cards and they stay owners of the machine. (At a nice markup of course.)
Been watching your videos since the beginning and like the idea of your course for new people. My suggestion (and what would make me order the course even having been doing this now for just over a year) would be to have a chapter or two dealing with machine issues and how to fix them. (Replacing card readers, cash boxes, cooling decks, coils and motors, number pads and stuff like that). It might even be a large enough project to make an additional course, one that I would absolutely buy!
this dude needs to cover his van in adverticement and charge fritto lay or coke or someone same with the side of his vending machines then use his social media influence to do a willy wanka thing were one of this items in a vending machine ( he can state the areas and citys not exact adresses ) then he can invite that person to do a full day in the life with him that way its great exposure and its a awsome way to clean out inventory with a Geo cash style search
Not everyone wants the attention. He doesn't want to get carjacked if they think he has big vending machine cash around. I thought the inconspicuous white van was actually on purpose.
I would love to do it but it will be expensive because I have to order from another country the price the shipping fee the custom tax to expensive can't afford
Video is full of deceit. He is trying to get you to buy his marketing ideas but does not give out much info into the inner works of vending itself. He shows his best account and best equipment but only mentions in video that he bought some equipment from a guy for 300. The equipment in that video is more 6-10k. He never showed you the 300 dollar equipment. Also he only showed what he made on one account, but fails to talk about net profit.
Love watching your videos and love that your gf is always there helping you. Started watching when you just started! My dad use to have candy machines when I was younger and every weekend we would go fill them up clean them and collect the money. It was always difficult to find locations. My dad would pay ppl to find locations for him and alot of times we had to pay a percent

Jaime & Liz, Just want to thank you for all the hard work you both put into putting out videos for your fans. I have subscribed to a few RU-vidrs in the past but honestly since i came across your channel i must say you are the best you tuber i have ever subscribed too. What makes you so unique from all the others in my opinion is that you are just being you you don't try to be like everyone else posting the same content as everyone else i love that. In addition your videos are funny, real, and most important inspired to follow your example. Your videos are just awesome. I am your biggest fan. Thank you again Jaime & Liz for changing the way you tube realy should look like i can not wait to celebrate your 1 million to 20 million subs Love you both God bless
Hey Jaime, I just wanted to know that what are the terms and conditions in which you make a deal for your vending machine locations. Whether you have to pay a rent for the location or you have to pay some percentage to the owner for the location or you pay nothing, means what are the terms and conditions for the location.
I run the vending machines in my apartment building. I just asked the building manager & he gave me the okay. So I put one in the laundry room & one in the lobby. I also use a combo machines & just stand alone machines for bottled water. Believe it or not water is my best seller. The best part is that since I live in NYC, my machine is actually cheaper than the stores in the area.
Tip that might help... Y’all should get everything ready the night before and just go early to fill up your machines & less traffic! Lol I just got this idea.. plus it frees up your day earlier
Hey! A quick question for you! For every location, do you need to pay the owner a portion of your profits made since the machines are at their location? Also, do you need to pay a portion of their electricity? I just found you and your videos are awesome! My fiancée and I are looking into starting a vending machine business!
It all depends on the location that you're working with. For the most part, I've never seen a business make you pay a portion of their electric bill, but commission is pretty common.
For everything that would keep you awake at night: "Do I have to pay for electricity? What if some idiot tips the machine over and kills themselves? What if the business owner runs off with the machine or has it removed without your OK?" Always always always have stuff like that in the contract you make them sign.
You discuss & negotiate with the owners of said locations. Some won't care that you take 100% profit. Some will ask for like 10 cents per bag of chips sold. All about your confidence. & it's okay if places say no. You tried & there are other convenient locations to place vending machines. I'm gonna save up & try this asap. It's simple.
I have a very large Vending company. There’s never electricity compensation lol Percentage of commissions is common but not very often honestly. Also I have some companies who would prefer us helping sponsoring an event for them, whether it’s monetary or providing products or prizes for company Holiday/Christmas party’s I.e prizes (Tv’s, Gift Cards, Ipads, cash prize). Some just request water for staff even have some request fresh fruit weekly. It all depends and varies but there’s obviously a limit to ensure your profitable.
I’ve been watching most of your videos? I’m actually trying to start my vending business and work so basically got to jobs. I already got 4 vending machines so far. I work at a Car Wash in NC and I asked my boss if I can put my soda vending machine here for the customers and employees to enjoy, atm working on finding a snack machine
That costco executive card and credit card helps. That cash back from both card and costco really add up. Good prices on product, shelves etc. You gotta dump Sams and get costco. They have business locations that carry more than just generics.
Sams has 2% cash back without even getting the credit card. You can use the credit card to get an extra 2% off. There’s not much Costco locations where im at either 👍
Depending on the business you put it at and the location most likely the owner will get a percentage that’s negotiated you being the vender in that being your business you should get the most of the percentage and the owner of the building or store establishment your placing your vending machine at should get around 10 to 15% if your a great business man and negotiator anything above 15% your loosing money to much of it especially a vending business unless you got 20 machines in 20 locations you not making much off one or two and the location is very important want to make sure it’s in a busy foot traffic shopping center or a strip mall barbershop hair salon nail salon etc this can be a great business if you do it right and strategic
I think it could be useful to set up online surveys for different machine locations for the customers to tell you what they want in the vending machines.
The survey is if they buy the item in the machine. :-D The strongest signal is someone willing to plop down cash. For any of those sodas/snacks where 100% was gone between refills, they might consider having two bins with the same flavor.
@@fitybux4664 That requires taking a chance by buying and stocking the product, printing new button cards in certain machines, and if it doesn't sell, you're stuck with it. There's also the opportunity cost of not putting in another product that will sell better. If the location's customers can tell you what they want in the machine, that can alleviate much of that chance, but of course, what customers _say_ they want may not ve what they _really_ want, but I think that customers may like having direct input on what goes in those machines.
Hey Jaime, I just had a few questions on what you use and stuff. So first off whats the model of your van and how much it costs. What are the bin names and prices with the yellow tops that you use. whats the trolley/holder name and price for all your items when going in the locations to restock. and finally what are the vending machines and prices. Thanks! btw this comes from an 11 year old who was influenced by you and started his own business selling on the street.
Always leave a card or flyer with your contact info in case they change their mind. Also, tell them you will check with again in 6 months, a year to see if they are still happy with current service. Note business and circle back around and check in with them. Tips I learned from 20+ years of Sales.
this reminds of the time when I used to sell chips and other types of snacks in school I made so much money and it was really fun wish I can do it again
Ty for showing even when you pitch and they say no. It definetly makes new people going into this business come in with real expectation and show how not everyone is going to say yes and that is completely normal
Man I’m gonna take your course. You seem like an honest person about your company. Super glad I came across this. Because I just won a lawsuit and I definitely want to put that money into work for me. Man wish me luck good vibes bro.

Something good, and smart, to do is what grocery store employees do. It's called blocking. It's when product is pulled to the front/edge of the shelf and if there's two+ lines of space for the product then at least one piece should be in each line. When stockers restock, they do basically do the same thing. The new product goes behind what's still on the shelf. I would never remove older product and only put in new unless any given piece of older product is expired. However, I'd also do my best to get back to any given location on or before the day product expires. It's not competing when an already placed machine sells one type of product at a given location and the location would like a machine that sells another type of product. I'd do it. It's the difference between more profit or no profit.
I never thought about the time business entrepreneurs / mentors put into talking to people. You deserve to charge for your information 😅😅. Thanks for the video!
I appreciate and love watching all your videos.keep up the great work you inspire me to do better if anything that I am doing and having a positive attitude
Most people don't do research or don't do it properly, My research led me to Ms. Catelyn Norris, a professional broker who offers a way to understand the crypto market.
I just received my ROI into my wallet through one of her platforms and I am pretty impressed by her strategies there are just unique, am not gonna to say much, Its healthy to take risk especially when in pursuit of success.
@@claystonetradingonline5127 Is there a link to her platform or how can I get in contact with her? I’d love to diversify and try out new investments the ALT coin market
Similar question, I’ve noticed that they also spend/invest time in driving, buying new drinks and snacks, refilling machines, etc. That too takes time which of course is also $$ in a way.
Just and idea. Instead of business card you can make a simple site with all the pics you want to share, then attach it to a combo QR code, when scanned it will add you as contact with all the information there is.
How do the credit sales work like do it go straight into your banking or do it get processed some other way? Also Im about to go buy the class now! Update: i just did it. #support
I just found your content for the first time today you Definitely have a Lotta knowledge and experience. I always wondered what kind of people were behind the vending machines LOL You got a new subscriber here keep up the great job
Jaime I love watching you videos they have inspired me and I wanted to say is keep grinding don’t give up on RU-vid or vending and god is going to bless you one day
But nice hotels usually have their own snack areas. There’s a crowd for everything nicer hotels don’t have cheap ass vending machines they have actual fridges and stuff.
Recommendation for you guys when it comes to go into like Walmart to pick up the stuff you should at least do the mobile orders that way they just bring everything out to you so you don’t have to go in and waste your time picking up all those drinks or pay for Walmart plus and have the drinks delivered to your warehouse obviously pay a little bit of a tip but surely that would still save you the time gas and effort
