Hey! I'm new here. I'm an accountant who just got accepted into a Data Analytics bootcamp starting next week. I'm also a mom of a 10 month old who is looking to work from home so I'm excited about this channel. I do wfh in my current position but my job is way too demanding and I'm in meetings all day to keep her.
The fact you have time to eat is refreshing lol in my current position, we're so busy and understaffed that I can go the whole day forgetting to eat which is not good for the fact that I am breastfeeding/pumping.
I start my IT support bootcamp in July but I feel like I should’ve chosen data analytics. I’m in customer service but want to get away from talking to people 😂 but I’m just ready to get my foot into tech industry.
Yes!! you definitely will be dealing with customers in IT support. I deal with clients, but not every day. Just when I need to ask them questions 😄 ...a data analyst job is definitely for introverts.
6+ years....I have a couple videos were I give tips. They are linked in the description box. In terms of getting hired I would say do your research and figure out the type of business you want to work for. From there then you'll be able to determine or have a sense of how they deal with data analytics and the skills they look for. I would say know SQL as a starting point and then add another language. Most places will probably use SQL to query, so knowing this language is important. In interviews you will have to answer some kind of coding question. Hope this helps.
@@Arjun1197 If you learned and understand MySQL, you have learned SQL...to an extent. MySQL is a open source database owned by Oracle. So its completely free to use. So a company won't necessarily use MySQL due to security purposes. SQL is the language you use to edit, modify etc. in MySQL...so this gives you an understanding of SQL. Therefore when you are looking for a job, you need to know SQL. So you are on the right track
@@LeannDuBois88 Thanks for the reply mam.... I know the basic level of Python, and Excel... What do i have to do next... Mam.. Does the Data analysis need Tableau too....
You can just google data analytics bootcamp. You will find institutions that offer like 12wk bootcamps, online bootcamps etc. Udemy also has one. You just have to do your research to find a good program to join. Hope this helps.
@@LeannDuBois88 Yes! I've been considering taking a bootcamp but there's so many teaching different coding languages it's confusing, so I get stuck. I know Excel and SQL are a big part but when it comes to coding I'm stuck. Python3 or R???
