THE CINEMATOGRAPHY IS EVERYTHING!!! I'm learning so much from you and your course and how you organize your time is such an inspiration! I'm millen btw taking up interior design, You deserve more subscribers Jaaay!
got into western eng today so I'm trying to watch videos to see if I should act go lol but I think I'll accept! i like the school though I didn't get a chance to see campus. Just curious when you filmed this were you in first year? If not what eng discipline?
the campus is beautiful! Basically, all of London is taken over by Western students haha its a really nice environment. Buildings are more spread out and it gives a nice campusy feel.
First year was really just a breeze because you've learned many of the topics in highschool and there weren't many homework assignments or projects that needed extra time beyond scheduled hours, except that stupid ass ES1050. There was some crazy workload in my third year with all those assignments and projects plus internship application. But people always have the easy option to copy homework and find someone to carry you in group projects, with the cost of being incompetent after graduation. So there's no need to worry about eng school being hard or easy, it's no pain no gain, we all know that.
Sorry but what University did you attend to? You make it sound like a breeze relying on others and copying. Thus is true with limitations, you cannot sneak away with a degree without mentioning the skills and discipline required for you to apply yourself in 60-75% weighted 3 hr exams. I do not entirely agree with your comments. Queens Mech Eng 05
@@9jfd1 I graduated from Western Comp Eng last June. Yes exams are usually at least 60% and they are mostly painful, but I don't think passing them required as much effort as decently finishing all the assignments. I know people who can't finish any assignments by themselves but still managed graduate and can't find an engineering job. And I didn't mean that graduating without doing any homework and only writing all the exams is easy as a breeze, but to me it would be at least 40% easier. But I did mean really our first year was easy. It could also be that ECE having harder assignments and Mech having harder exams, I'm not sure. This could be true as the electives I've taken (economics, philosophy) had tough exams and almost no assignments compared to my technical courses. But at least I tend to believe that assignments are harder than exams is true for most ECE/software courses. Usually each of those had two to three projects and/or weekly labs that took much more time and frustration than exam preps which were just a few days studying before each exam.
This is probably one of the realest engg. vlog. Waking up r early and having class from 7-8PM as well as studying ATLEAST til 12AM, and if ure lucky, go to bed by 2AM or earlier. Then do it all over again next day. Also finding time for naps. 😂😫
@@msm5146 Just worry about your current semester. Take it one class at a time! I've failed 3 classes so far and I barely finished my 3rd year and won't graduate until an extra semester after my 4th year! There is stress, but use it as a motivator. Last semester I had 25 exams and did a minimum of 1 all-nighter a week. I would be lucky to get a full 8 hours even on the weekend. It was tough, but that feeling of knowing you did your best is really amazing. You got this!
Is the reason it would take so long to finish your work because of procrastination or did you spend the entire day studying? I’m asking bc I’m going to study engineering next year
@@dianadawn1076 You will be busy with 6 or 7 classes and homework for me was always till before midnight if you keep up and go to class, well I always got hammered thursday nights but still went to class hungover. Queens Mech Eng 05.
Reminds of the good old days in college as a Petroleum Engineering major. I remember my sophomore year, Mondays were my busiest day where I had 4 classes back to back from 1 - 7:30 pm. Honestly I think I spent more time and stress as a student than I do now working full-time as an engineer.
I really like how you speak, you really articulate and make sure your words don't stumble, I normally have to switch on my captions when I watch other RU-vidrs and for you I didn't 🥺🥺😁
Wow! This was nice to watch! I finished my master’s at western in dec and almost a year of my 16-month program was during covid time. So, it was cool to watch some actual western life experience!😂 keep up the good work✌️
as a western grad in professional school now, this brings me back to the good days. don't forget that first year classes are always weeder courses, don't be too hard on yourself! Best of luck!
Exams are common on weekends as students have no conflicting classes at that time. I am in my last year of mechanical engineering here at Western and can answer any questions you may have!
First year was tough ngl. I’m happy you guys made it to second year! If you need any advice or help, I am happy to help. Btw I am third year Computer Software Student at western
This is great, enrolling to engineering school next month had to search such kind of vlog even though I have been a medical student and am graduating this December, cool
I'm a third year western student and I gotta say, nice video man! Keep up the amazing work! Also, if you want a great study spots check out the map room on the bottom floor of Weldon, but if you wanna take a nap go to the second floor of ncb to the private room, super quiet.
Find at least one or two people who have a similar schedule and just work together! Try and set smaller goals day by day and shred through the assignments. Don't be sacred of failing, failing is the precursor to learning but try the best you can.
I’m a 4th year western eng student. If you can survive first year eng, you can survive anything 🙌 Also, if anyone has questions about anything about western eng, I can try my best to help lol! I’ve failed a lot but I’m still in the game 🙏
@@bennathen5494 Chemistry too, most schools usually prefer that you take physics and chemistry, as well as all three maths in gr. 12 (advanced functions, calculus and vectors, and data management)
Do you mind if I could email you some questions I may have in the future regarding Western Engineering? I'm gonna apply this fall and I'd appreciate your input!
I cried when I saw your schedule! Your first year in engineering seems so much harder than my fourth year in biology! BTW I see you are a Stranger Things fan!!!! Yah!
Hey bro mind can tell me how good western university’s chemical engineering is ?? I wish to come western university for doing my Masters in Chemical engineering! So your information will help me a lot to get know better better about chemical engineering! And how many campuses does western university has and where is chemical engineering department located at ?
if you think about it, it's useful when contribution and attendance count towards your grade because that's a good 20-30 % that you can guarantee, at least partially.
My uni was sleeping and hitting on the bong. Never graduated. Now retired. Lower middle class getting by playing poker betting on horses eating every other day to fight diabetes and cancer. Not too bad a First World life
Could you do a video on the essentials to bring for general engineering and in general? ex: Note taking tablet (which one do you use?), is a printer a need, etc etc?
Sweet video, did you live in Perth or Ohall? I lived in Perth and I thought I recognized you! I’m going into second year and I miss campus so much! Keep up the good work 👍🏼
It’s all about disciplining yourself to focus on work and prioritizing the important work first. Let’s say you had an exam on Saturday, definitely study for that first.
@@JayCity okay thank you. Would you recommend Ryerson electrical engineering or just simply there engineering program ? Also, I heard that engineering students are very busy with studying so how do you find the way to work and still be able to pass university . Thanks
Another great tip is study when you have time for example there is one day where you have half the day of then try to study as much as possible then. Instead of studying when you need it for an exam etc.
Im planning to be a computer Engineer I don't know that much but im going to a 2 year's college then I will transfer to a university so what should should I study on the 2 years
