When I worked directly with my kids in my programs, I always wanted to pick up my camera and create content like this, but never did. I love that you're using your platform to do so, and you're showing how you juggle everything. This is a great video to give providers an idea what it might be like if they opened their own program! I love it! Keep up the great work!!

Mine are 7th and 8th grades and we use teaching textbooks for math and ACE for everything else. It works well because it fosters independence which is important since I have a full time daycare now.

I just found your channel and have been binge watching your videos. I have been in daycares since 2000, and am ready to open my own finally. You have great tips! And everything you are telling people is exactly what we do in the daycare. I do have a little tip for you that may be helpful to you as well, don’t know if you know, but you can use crib sheets (have the parents provide of course) on the cots as well they will fit and they help keep things a bit cleaner and longer lasting as well. Thanks for the great tips!

Thank you for your kind words . Your cats shouldn’t be an issue . I’ve had all of my cats grow up in daycare . So they grew up as kittens around children and they are so good to them.

I am sooooo used to it. I have worn acrylics for a long time. I do get them shorter and sometimes oval shaped. It helps . My hands go through alot, and manis / gel polish on my natural nails does not hold up .

Yes Fatima , it is totally possible ! It is time consuming , but if your heart is set on homeschooling , it’ll be worth it for your family. Have you purchased a curriculum for your son ? I used Abeka for Kindergarten and it’s so good ! Thank you for watching !

@@totstothetop my son is two so we haven’t purchased a curriculum yet! We’re doing unit studies that I put together, but when he’s ready for more school work we will be buy the good and the beautiful curriculum!

I love your content. We do have similar belief,I teach, not using the videos to while away time! Morning hours are hectic because we put so many things in place. I am also home schooling my 10yrs old daughter in middle. Childcare providers put in so much hours of work! Thank you for sharing.

Homeschooling is a huge responsibility !!! Mornings are always hectic . Drop offs , breakfast , lesson plans etc . We got this !

If you have a Gordons Food Service near you try that out! Lots of bulk food but typically cheaper than Costco or Sams

Hi! I just found your channel. I run a daycare too, it used to be my brother and sister in law. They were strict with the schedule and breakfast time here is between 8:30 to 8:45 but I give some parents until 9:00 if they are late. After 9:00 am kitchen is closed until snack time. Most of my parents are respectful and they get here on time for breakfast and I appreciate that a lot.

have you tried the bumco bum brush for applying rash and excema cream and sunscreen it's silicone and is great for keeping it off your fingers and under nails. it's a lifesaver

What do you do for circle time to get your younger kids engaged? Right now we do a quick action song and maybe a quick book if they can sit and be calm for it.

Younger groups are hard ! Since this video, my group has changed ALOT ! So with the younger ones (infants) I like to teach them small things like ‘bye bye’ sign language , sounds like ‘mama’ etc and I like to do these while they eat snack . I also teach them body parts . It really depends on the age and the child .

What do gou do if you want to take time off? Vacation? What if you are sick or have a family emergency? This is what im most concerned about

I pick 3 weeks each year that I will take as a vacation. I never plan them last minute . The parents know about the weeks months in advanced . I have never had a family emergency . But if I did , I will ask parents to pick their child up ASAP and then I would take off days if needed . My daycare handbook allows me 4 personal days each year so that protects me as well and they are there for emergency.

Mine inhome daycare completely different we work under the umbrella of a company so money is paid to by the families and sometimes might be intilted assistance with payment from what we call in nz work.and income support.

Hello dear, new subscriber here. Wanna to ask is any staff helping you look after children when you cooking/ set up their nap time / talking in front of the camera? If nobody there, can you share how do you train them be independent and follow your rules?

I don’t have staff . When I film there always in my sight . Routine helps them become independent and teaching them the rules . My kids stack their chairs , put blankets away after nap , attempt to put their cots away , push their chairs in when done eating etc . I also don’t spend a whole lot of time talking to the camera . My videos are typically 10-15 min long and I’ll do a min here and there so I’m not stuck in front of the camera you get me ?

You have a beautiful daycare-If I may give you advice-your floors are beautiful but you will want to be careful walking barefoot on those hard floors. As a childcare provider for over 25 years-walking on the hard floors without good cushion will catch up to you- hurting feet. Blessings to you beautiful.

Question for anyone: Is it possible to run my own early preschool with just a small ratio and it still be profitable? I loved being an early preschool teacher but enjoy smaller groups and I feel it is more beneficial for everyone.

The cats know to not go into the daycare area. All of my cats were raised around daycare, so they know where to go and where not to go. Hope this helps.

Hello, I have no degree . There is no degree needed to open up a home daycare in my state or county. I’d research further for what your requirements may be .

Daycare is as hard as you let it be . If you let parents walk all over you, don’t have a schedule for your kids, don’t have the space for it etc it can get difficult .
