Not going to lie I've been binge watching a lot of Walmart videos recently. A couple days ago I got a text message from the manager at my local Walmart asking if I was interested in being overnight stocker which i agreed. I had an interview yesterday but it really wasn't a interview but like a tour around my environment that'll be working in. Was nervous but it went good and I got the job. They say orientation start next week so I just been waiting on a date and shi. Still a little bit nervous because this my first-ever job but watching these Walmart videos helps me a lot. But I'm glad I'll get to make money 🙌🏾
Congratulations!! Walmart was my first job as well so I get you. You have nothing to worry about though it’s really easy and if you don’t know something they’ll teach you. So happy for you!
Jenny I worked for Walmart 15 years and finally left. I worked overnight shift last 5 years.I wish you the best and don't stay there too long, you seem smart and a hard worker.Adios and peaceout.
I just started as a digital shopper. My first day on the floor is Thursday, 3/23. I’m happy to watch this. Gotta buy some long sleeves and a jacket because I get cold easily and the garden area is open air.
I’ve worked in deli at Walmart for the past year and can’t imagine working for any other department. However I can’t seem to go full time in deli and I can’t seem to get any earlier shift than a 2-10pm. I would love a 9-6 like you get, I’m jealous. Loved this video!! It’s nice to see what others do working in Walmart.
I finish doing the computer paperwork and stuff tomorrow and am going to start dispensing the day after. im really nervous because i have pretty bad anxiety and this will be my first job but since I'm already used to being on computers and am more of an introvert I figured it'd be easier than being a cashier. plus im actually full time and it pays more than being a cashier, at least in my state. I'm watching all these OGP videos to try and prepare myself. lol
This was my first job too and I was soo shy before starting and let me just say that this job has really help me get out of my shell little by little. I think you’re gonna do great 😊
@autumn8230 yep! making more now at a place that actually welcomes paid overtime and weekends off ❤️ I've gotten a lot more confident in myself now and less anxious about everything :)
saw on my app that there’s available time on thurs 5am-2pm. it’s my first time on opening shift and have no idea what to do. glad that i see your video 😊
Hey great video. Do yall get in person applications often? Applied a week ago and want to follow up lol. And what's the environment like? Do coworkers enjoy talking to eachother? Do they try to hire guys for this position also?
Super late here but this'll be useful for anyone lookin into this job, Walmart will hire just about everyone, ogp or personal shopper is a good job to get started with and it's a good first job. Mornings seem to be more chill than evenings and afternoons. Closer to Hollidays it gets really crazy and stressful. You'll make some good friends there but Walmart has a lot of cliques, as long as you don't get in with the wrong group and get your work done you'll do just fine.
I worked at Wal-Mart for 15 years and I got sick and hospitalized. They terminated me for violating the attendance policy. Remember Wal-mart don’t care about you and will throw you away. It was a blessing for me because I got a better job with no stress now.
Hi! Yes i have a few friends and im not sure how its described online but i basically just pick groceries and take it out to the customers car. We use devices that tell us exactly what the customer ordered so its not that difficult.
What a nice girl. A wholesome person whom takes their job seriously. A rare breed. I’ll tell you what sweetheart, you keep up with that GOOD, positive attitude and you’ll go somewhere. No BS
@@Nathaly.Rivera it's sometimes called something different, depends on the store. But mostly know as OGP (online grocery and pickup), in store shopper, or personal shopper.
Hi Jenny I do work at the grocery store at Kroger in Grand Blanc Michigan I have been working there for 15 years and all my co workers associates who loves me to work and I love my morning shift 8:30am to 5:00pm every day on Monday through Friday on weekdays and I don't work on weekends I use to work on weekends but not anymore so I Love my manager and Co manager and my supervisor so I will wake up every day at 6:00am and Starting Monday I'll be out of bed at 5:00am bright and early everyday for now on I'm 46 years old and I'm still working at the grocery store at Kroger and you worked for Walmart so I go to my favorite store at Walmart in Grand Blanc Michigan and I've shop there all the time.
Hey I enjoyed your video, been working for Walmart for 1 year and 6 months started as a remodel associate and became a Store Project Coach a month ago love the job good luck!
I just started out last week and I've been doing dispensing all week and all day. I was told I would be doing a bit of everything! Its so hot outside and its not fair that I'm only doing dispensing and not even staging or prepping. Im probably going to move departments of switch out.
@@kandysamantha9529they'll most likely train you for all parts of OGP if that's what you get hired for. Dispensing, picking, and staging. That way if they need help in one certain area they can move people around. They'll watch you and track your metrics. So like when it's super busy, they'll probably have the best pickers they have doing the picking
Worked cap 2 last year and tbh if it wasnt for the fuckass managers and team leads id still be there because i was cool with everyone. But never stay in a toxic environment
I work in a neighborhood Walmart which is a small Walmart so we mostly just sell groceries and that’s what we pick but at the super center Walmart, yes you would have to pick clothes and toys and everything they have.
Yes you get them too, there are different types of pick runs: Frozen, Chilled, Ambient, and general (and a think a few others but these are the ones you'll get the most.) Frozen is all frozen foods like ice cream and frozen meals. Chilled is any produce kept cold like Milk, cheese, meat. Ambient and any package food items that don't need to be kept cold (normal items you'd find in the aisles.) And General is basically everything else from home Goods, animal food, electronics, ect.
yeah seem cozy relax job lol, worked in carwash and restaurent running busboy and that was hard between 10-16hour shift and rarely a pause to even sit and eat lol
Hi jenny you are so nice i like your video i want to work too but my English is bad I don't know how to speak well yet can i work at walmart though ❤❤❤
Hii 😊 thank you There’s a few people at my Walmart that don’t speak English but they understand it. I think it depends on the position you apply for but it’s best to just ask the managers and they’ll let you know for sure.
We have about 8 people through the whole day. Two open at 5am and then we have two mids so they come around 9am and then two closers at 1pm and a few others that fill in the gaps so they come in between openers, mids, and closers. but it changes anddd no we don’t get free food lol sometimes they’ll give us like free donuts on fridays or to celebrate something like a birthday but not everyday.
I'm turning 16 next week and just looking at a few jobs that interests me and its hard to choose if I want to work at fast food or at a grocery store. You have a relaxing voice btw 😊
I’ve been struggling with that myself But make sure you stretch before and after it’ll help you a bit more. It’s also good to ask for help lifting anything heavy :)
My first day as a personal shopper will be this week I'm nervous and excited. questions do you get confused with the order maybe to make a mistake with each order ?
That’s great! And It’s really hard to get the orders confused because you have to scan everything several times lol I’m sure at first is gonna be a bit confusing but you’ll get the hang of things don’t worry it’s really easy, when you dispense just do things one step at a time you’ll know what I mean once you do it lol
One hour lunch for a job at walmart wtf? That job is so easy and low pay how is it i get 30min lunch but a job like urs gives u 1 hour? If ur really proud of being the first one at picking than u should come to my second job which is order picking only at a warehouse. Sense u seem to like picking and are proud of being number one there i think u would like this job, i would like to see u try to be the first one here.
I know this is an old video but how do you enter the store at 5am before they open? (I'm a new hire and start my 5am shift tomorrow and store doesn't open until 6am) please reply lol
It’s pretty simple but there’s more to it than you think lol COME TO WORK WITH ME (PERSONAL SHOPPER)! + Q&A ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f9TWl0YfOG4.html
@@jobantokki no. It wasnt hard to stock things..it was hard counting items 😅 Like who can possibly count accurately every time?! I was so tired of counting. It was tedious. The shift before me, I heard just does stocking. I would have preferred that instead. A bit difficult to find the aisle and number to place things if u a newbie but it gets super easy once u have it down. Night shift can take a toll on your health if ur not healthy in the first place. My blood pressure went up. Overall I had fun. Was I fast and a top worker? Not really 😅 but I tried. When I left, there is a whole bunch of app things that were added. Scan codes. Bin in and bin out. Stuff like that. I was always so confused. I didn't understand that but was still learning. The only heavy thing I stocked was a huge bag of dog food. Everything else was cans, condiments, shampoo, brushes, toys, etc.. it was easy.
What kind of info can you see about spark delivery guys? I was deactivated on my spark app and people are saying that store workers will report them and make them deactivated 😢 is that true.?
