When driving in US, when you’re stop by police, you will have to stay in the car with your hands on the wheels. Step out of your car and approach the police, you risk getting shot. In Hong Kong, the situation is already too tense. What the government should do is to issue a public warning; if you’re masked and you approach any police, you’re likely to be shot.
Years ago, when I lived in HK, there were also protesters protesting, but not as violent. Now I live in the US, when I turned around and look at HK, all I see is a battlefield. I feel horrible for my dad because he lives in HK near where some of these raids are held. My mom was planning to go back to HK next summer but she changed her mind because of the protesters. I hope things can really go back to normal.
I was in HK in September for three weeks and things have definitely gotten a lot worse... the entire HK society is incredibly polarized right now and it's just hate from both sides. It's really sad to see, especially when most of my family lives over there. I'm not sure how HK will ever go back to normal. The one thing that's for sure is that HK will never be the same.
My relatives, extended family and love ones in hk is also suffering. Am just glad none of them are part of the rioters. Living quality is really badly affected and they said there are plenty inconveniences. In various part of the world, we are all worrying for the safety of our hk love ones.
There were months of peaceful protest which that were met by violence from the police. These people are finally understanding what it means to truly revolt and stand up for themselves. No great change has ever been achieved solely through peace.

It's a polarized situation between Hong Kong people right now, so if you see someone getting beat up, it's probably because they said or did something that the other side didn't like. It's unfortunate, but you really have to watch what you say in HK. HK people get incredibly emotional and reactive and do impulsive things when they hear something they don't like.

Here's how you stop the police VERY EFFECTIVE!!! get fishing line, the clear ones that are almost impossible to see and is also rated for 300lb. Now here comes the fun part, tie one end of the fishing line to a light pole or something that will not move and the other end to something on the other side of the street (making a trip wire) then when the police fire the tear gas it will be very hard to see and when they charge they are going to fall flat on their faces.
