i just made a video about rapid fire and tractor! super cool but ive found that it does not actually extend to 25 seconds, it extends to the length of tractors 10 second window but you can extend it infinitely if you hit precision shots every 10 seconds
@@TheAegisRelic yep, also found that if you want to swap off tractor and you shoot one shot the best economy weapons would be leviathans breath, anarchy + sniper, or bipod rocket. awesome guide btw.
Me trying to work out how to use lumina, malfeasance, tractor, gally, orpheus and lucky pants optimally in a single encounter on day one to get my team top 20,000 placement
My only gripe with arc hunter is if for any reason you do manage to die, whether it be through your own incompetance or your team kills your ad, then its very difficult to get your stacks back. My only gripe with void is it does not have as good ad clear.
Honestly understand this so much, I'm usually the rez carry or basically just take aggro n kill ads, but the few times I do die, mainly in ghosts of the deep, is when the ads I'm running at get killed by my fireteam lol
@TheAegisRelic question: I find le monarch is the best for ad clearing. Is it fine to run in with le money, apex predator and shotgun for this? I find I'm best on mechanics but the le money is my most consistent form of ad clear but I do understand the need for a different exotic for damage.
Im running void hunter since my team comp is 5 warlocks and 1 hunter and frankly I know I won't get any kills or my kills will just be stolen so having the guarantee of survivability without the need for kills is what im mainly after. This is also what I have used for almost every worlds first and it's worked out well everytime.
@@TheAegisRelic Yeah I think most of the time its best to run Arc but for my case 5 warlocks all running stuff that makes ads non existent just forces me on void for the next best survivability and debuffing. Also helps with the sword for crota to have a safe way to approach with no conditions.
I was using a liars handshake/assassins cowl arcstrider, one-two punch-heal build, and I felt actually unkillable as long as there were ads around. ammo was never a problem, and deleting bosses felt great.
If you can pair weapon elemental types with your sublcass, foetracer feels like a good option for boss dps. 4x weapon surge as long as you do ability damage beforehand(matching weapon damage type can be a pain though)
@@TheAegisRelic Surprised you knew i had gunslinger in mind. Yeah, even with resto x1, gunslinger just does not compete well with Ass cowl+arcstrider. (can we start calling it "ass cowl")? Messing with the recent handcannon buffs i was using sunshot paired with foetracer for yellow bars. Felt okay, but trying to meet all the conditions can be so restrictive that you are better off doing something simpler

Just run solar hunter but with assassins cowl, look at my solo hunter explicator clear, obviously in higher tier content knifes become a bit weaker and may not one shot, in that situation I agree but it's not laughably like the way you're making it seem.
@@crane5037 Aegis knows how powerful solar hunter is in general. He's a world record holder for several raids ffs. This video is about day 1 raiding where as you admitted solar hunter assassin's cowl isn't viable
The debuff extend from Rapid-Fire Ranger absolutely sounds like a bug that's one mod disable away from not being relevant, if that's the only reason not to run a tether hunter i would still be prepping one.
problem with arc hunter from this season onwards is ammo economy. since most of the ad clear will be done with melee barely any heavy will spawn (lets say ur done with a damage phase and want more heavy for round 2), so cant really use double special and will have to switch to more gunplay to utilize finder mods.
@@TheAegisRelic I think the reference to finder mods (which actually do work that way, unlike regular bricks) might be the point of confusion here. Aeons/Cenotaph/Special Finisher/Scavs should be plenty though

Why run gally on void hunter? I understand the idea that they don't have free reloads, but couldn't the same be said for a welllock who isn't switching off of sunbracers to allow for rain of fire?
Honestly it's a natural pairing that works out really well in practice, but you can have Gjally on a Dawnblade and not lose sleep over it - it's not the most important choice in the world
for void hunter use fragment that generates BOTH ORBS AND BREACH. Far better setup, yes it`s on cooldown, but you get fat orb for you and your teammates and breach
Gyrfalcon’s is so good for void hunter because when you get finishers while invis, you give everyone an on demand overshield and a 35% damage boost. One of the best exotics for hunter Bungie ever came up with. Wouldnt Revenant also be good for Malfeasance swaps during damage, with Impetus, and the excellent ad-clear and CC abilities of the subclass?
Revenant has an extremely weak neutral subclass loop compared to Arcstrider and even Nightstalker and that is a prime example of sacrificing survivability and consistency for an unnecessary damage bump (that doesn't even play out well because no damage super)
What exactly would the strat be if you have 2 hunters in a dps phase that lasts only for ~10-15 sec and tractor would be applicable (or 3 hunters in ~20-25) wouldn’t it be better to have only 1 hunter on arc and the others on solar, don’t think the combat difficulty will be that hard, that solar hunter won’t be viable. (For kingsfall we ran 4 solar hunters, and for Ron we ran 2 solar hunters and 1 arc and were completely fine with survivability honestly) would have loved to see your take on solar hunter, my hunter playing teammates can’t agree on what to use for their neutral game. (Our plan was it to run 1 titan, 3 warlocks and 2 hunters for this day one, potentially even 1 more hunter, if a 3rd warlock isn’t needed)
You can scale your team's damage vs. survivability balance depending on your confidence and coordination, it's not a must-have or anything, this video is mostly a starting point for newer less certain players
Question, why go Arc but no recommendations towards Solar? My expectation with this raid is that they are gonna massively buff health pools for bosses, and if you have more then one hunter the Arc super becomes far less useful since only one application of Jolt will work but Blade Barrages can stack
I'm guessing that it has to do with that artifact mod that gives the massive DR to the respective classes element? I know the Hive use a lot of arc but they also use a fair amount of Solar so I would think going Solar Hunter with that mod and double arc resists would still be fine with 100 resil. Especially with the Foetracer buff, you can stack it with Monochromatic for a tier 5 solar buff just from throwing your knives for 10 seconds which can be chained pretty easily. My build for DPS then with Izzy swapping with Apex lets me go into DPS with full surges on both my Izzy and my Apex plus the full Stareaters Blade Barrage
You can stagger GS casts and Gunslinger survivability is awful compared to everything else listed in these three videos, damage supers aren't a difference maker in day 1s outside of some rare circumstances
The logic makes sense to incur damage loss on only one player if there’s a tether, but Izi Apex rotation vs gally sniper rotation you can use RoF on warlock to save reloading gally and still have 1 reload dodge on hunter for Izi apex but if you put gally on hunter you only get one chance to auto reload the gally while warlock does Izi apex. Wouldn’t it be better to have the wl gally?
Hey Aegis! I found you on my laptop bored of my mind. Great build video, but I have a question. Say I dont have a good hollow denial, and I haven't crafted, and won't be able to craft one. Should I use something like wavesplitter and replace Ghorn with a good rocket?
Should be fine as long as someone else on your team can run Ghorn. Wavesplitter has a bit less survivability because of no Repulsor Brace, but it's still a very good option if you can manage to generate orbs consistently.
Wouldn’t double surge on the Nightstalker setup be more beneficial seeing as getting the enemies down as quick as possible would be a priority on day one?
What are we thinking about debuffs to Crota? Do we think that they will apply at all? If so are they only to the “shield” or will they buff the sword damage too? Same for player buffs. If the sword bearer can be buffed then perhaps it is worth sending them up with a banner of war titan + lumina blessing.
Unless Crota is different from every boss in D2 you should be able to debuff (also I am 100% sure they are reworking Crota like they did with Oryx where damage is going to be done with traditional weapons and not shouldered entirely by one person)
I think Crota will most certainly go like this: Swordbearer destroys his shield, this causes him to kneel then leading to damage with weapons. If he does Kneel then he will be easy to damage hopefully!
idk if its just me but since the season dropped combination blow has been pretty inconsistent its been delayed and straight up refuses to proc on yellow bars

If tractor cannon is possible, is blade barrage with star eater can be an option for dps? I'm not a fan of arc hunter with all the dodges and melees, I prefer using my guns.

Is rapid fire ranger still a 20% debuff or did bungie make it 15% to match other seasonal debuff artifact mods like weakend clear? Also incase tractor is not applicable to that boss, how bad would it be just relying on rapid fire ranger in a dps phase that is around 30 seconds (incase it’s still a 20% debuff) and having your hunters running damage supers?
is there any reason Liar's handshake isn't mentioned for arc hunter? the additional damage makes the ad-clear aspect of the class stronger, while adding on health regen without requiring a kill, meaning you can regen on beefier targets and increasing your kill potential.
Pretty much everyone agrees that Cowl strikes the optimal balance between Combination Blow damage and good survivability, especially in contest content

Does the same person have to apply rapid fire ranger, as the one that tractored? Will it still extend if you have someone else hit them with rapid fire ranger after the tractor hits them?
@@TheAegisRelic so for instance all exotics mentioned in the arc strider loadout is the exact same if they are used for mechanics but for dps just switch to targeting mods and surges?
@@TheAegisRelic so if you went from using assassin cowl to knuckle head radar the only changes would be the head mods go to targeting mods as an example. But what about if you ran gyfalcons and then switched to aeons would you keep the same mods
@@TheAegisRelic I probably should’ve worded it better but I’m talking about keeping a debuff going throughout the damage phase with smokes and nades. I know the super is 30% while your utility is 15% and was wondering what the timing would be to keep a debuff of any percent throughout the dps phase. Also would this method of keeping a debuff with the hunters kit be a viable debuff option for long range dps or would div just be better?
Also I am having an issue seeing your entire mod setup list. I know I can use dim to preview them and that is probably the best but can you provide a way within the videos to seem them or maybe within a comment provide a photo rtc
