Hey there, thank you for watching the video. If you're looking to minimize your upper brow bone, stick with matte shades. Any shimmery/brown shades will reflect light and make things look bigger than they are, so if you want to bring the attention away from the hood, keep the shimmer on the part of your lid that actually moves. Monolids tend to be flatter in shape, so it's best to apply eyeshadow in a vertical way for a more flattering look. This means stacking your shades on top of one another, instead of applying them across your lids.
