Awesomely beautiful place. I been to Nagano last February when I went to Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park. Planning to visit Matsumoto soon for fall foliage viewing. Thank you for sharing this great video . So true. Some parts of Japan are less tourist like the Tohoku region that I will going to visit next month.

For whatever reason I did not go in. However, later in the trip I do tour the inside of Himeji Castle and was able to video. I’ll make the video in a month or so. Some good footage.
I will miss train travel now pass prohibited price no more criss crossing country like I have done many times .Nagano is a beautiful town I visited temples after seeing Snow monkeys
I did the matsumoto castle day trip too...it was such a long journey that i basically took a few money shots of the castle and got right back on the train to tokyo...
It was definitely a long day. I left early and got back very late. I think next time I go to Japan I will stay in that region a few nights to be able to relax and see more.
Will be interesting to see how the pass changes all of that. I really enjoyed using it for 14 days. Next time I go back I will have to make some choices.
