Lake Walen (or Walensee) is shared between Canton of St.Gallen (2/3) and Canton of Glarus (1/3), Switzerland.
The lake has a surface of 24.19 km2 (9.34 sq mi) and an average depth of 104.7 m (344 ft).
The maximum depth of Walensee is 151 m (495 ft).
The Seerenbach Falls (Seerenbachfälle) is composed of 3 waterfalls:
- upper cascade has 50m in height
- middle cascade has 305m height (is the 2nd highest waterfall in Switzerland)
- lower cascade has 190m in height
This is a total of 585m and represents one of the highest waterfalls in Europe.
