Outstanding work, thank you Ruudy! Excellent content with a lot of information. In my youth I walked the streets of Lahti in the night during the weekends and not once did anything scary come my way. Nowadays I hear that there some drug dealers though, so the situation might have gotten a bit worse than in my time there.

Yes often times I have the ticket open on my phone and they just walk past me without even looking at it xD. Lahti I think these days has mostly a good reputation... except the fans of the hockey team Pelicans.

That K-Market was the Lahti bus station from 1930's, to 2016. It's a cute spot for a store. I enjoyed going there, when I lived in Lahti. About the crime, Lahti is base of operations for the biggest criminal gang in Finland, United Brotherhood and that's why it's also meth central. These "hardened criminals" are not a threat to common people on the street. They usually just hurt other criminals. The tweakers never bothered me either. They just hang around.

I am not from Finland and never heard of Lahti before few days ago. I am on this video because someone who lived in Lahti (not a Finn) came across me and poisoned my mind how terrible life in Lahti is, and that person left Finland for good (she was originally from Estonia). I have been to Helsinki few times, did not see anything terrible about Finland, that person completely shocked me. Now I see she was delusional.

Lahti is a better place than Helsinki ever will be.
