Your family is just too cute for words! Love Grandma's energy, bless her! Thank you for bringing me with you! It's so lovely and i can't wait to visit next week.
We have been going ever since the 60’s and it’s a tradition in our family. We own a house i oak bluffs and like to go fishing by the first bridge with my dad. We’re about to go in 2 days and I’ve been waiting ever since my parents told me we were going. You probably say our house driving in oak bluffs. It’s my favorite place to visit in the summer.
I visited there once several years ago and took a plane from there to Nantucket on a tour. I believe This Old House did a project there several years ago. I noticed the narrator has a scandinavian accent of which I am 18% to be young again like those kids.
We were set to go last year and couldn't due to covid. We are getting ready to leave in a week and I'm so excited! We haven't worn masks for a couple months now though so it will be hard to do that, especially on the ferry where I want to take pictures of our families smiling faces! But, we'll make sure we dig out our masks and bring them. :) Your day trip looks like almost everything we have been talking about doing once we get there. Great job!
@@CelebratetheWeekend Oh how wonderful! Thank you for letting me know. So happy to hear you're enjoying Martha's Vineyard. We are coming from Indiana! Thanks again. :)
Thank you! Unfortunately i dont have accommodations recommendations. I have tried but failed to -as of yet- to find something reasonably priced in season
Thank you, looking to do this day trip this summer, debating whether or not to take the rental car or not. I saw the person price but didn't see the car price. If we don't bring a car, definitely stay in oak bluffs?
Here are the car prices- they depend on a season and require advance booking www.steamshipauthority.com/visitors/fares. Without a car you could also stay in Edgartown- there are beaches and restaurants and historic homes within walking distance and a good bus connection (or 15 min taxi ride) to port towns. When we go without a car we move between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown (via bus and taxi)
@@CelebratetheWeekend thank you very much, we will be going with a 4 year old and 1 year old. Might just stay around bluffs! Going to look into this more, thanks again!!
@@myrtlebeachsara i understand your concern! I tried the bus for the first time past summer and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was! the stop is near the Gazebo (in Oak Bluffs) and drops you at the Visitor Center (aka "free toilet central") in Edgartown in 12 mins. The drive is along the beach almost all the way
Are you sure you accounted for the family air fare? Hotels are truly expensive on MV but as a day trip it is a very enjoyable option for a little trip!
Aidan the Backyardigans, Olivia, and Jeffy fan we visited several times this summer and felt safe. ppl are wearing masks everywhere (bus, taxi, boat, main streets- not the beach with safe distancing though) and we went about our day trips as usual and enjoyed!
Do not fly to Martha Vineyard cause of really bad wind go with with ferry from Mass , is from Boston with bus it takes you to Martha Vineyard believe me is worth it🙂
The new squatters spot for the poor American citizens fleeing crime infested violent inner cities gangs is Martha's vineyard section 8s welcomed so start building the affordable housing because we on our way for refuge
at that time (summer 2020) it was required by the Steamship to board- and frankly it is a crowded ship; everyone has their comfort level in the world we currently live in- and should be free to practice what they believe in- provided it is not a safety hazard for others. I had to look hard for the "mask on the beach" moment you mentioned- it must have been a moment when my Mom was getting ready for a walk back to the car. We dont wear masks on the beach unless it's a crowded situation.
