Pye is so down to earth and humble. As a photographer, I'd have to say that other photographers really don't like sharing their tips because they look at most other photographers as competition. Pye, on the other hand, teaches and encourages others to get better. I always enjoy watching these creative videos even though chances are that I won't use it, but understanding the reasoning/tech/ideas behind certain styles help me learn more about photography in general. No clue. I believe this has been done for a while, especially in film/Hollywood. I also never claimed to be the first on this, I just said it's one of our signature portrait styles. Sam's a great photographer tho!
