Hi Sir, I had a doubt in current yield. You told its not very useful as it has those 3 problems mentioned in the slides. But i got to thinking, since it calculates my interest for that particular year, wouldn't it be quite a useful metric for a callable bond cause YTM could be misleading in a situation where the bond is called much before maturity?
In fixed income issuance and trading there is a chart in Schweser notes which shows that : The unsecured bond is shown in investment grade. Similarly secured bonds shown in high yield. Is this correct?
That’s why you should not watch abruptly from between. There’s a flow of things you should know. You should first watch our QM lectures. And if you watch directly this then it will not help you. The video is a playlist in sequence. You cannot study CFA without flow.
I was shocked when i saw 15.25% I mean you are paying 825$ and getting $175 profit over 5 years. Even the premium bond is paying more, investment of 1050$ and return of 450$ So obv YTM can't be 15.25
