DAY6 (Even Of Day) - "Gluon" Album Listening Party | REACTION 

In trying to understand the Outro . . . . . I've decided to just accept that they are a bunch chaotic idiots having fun. I'm sure they're planning something with it, but who knows what goes on in their heads. You're only part way into the Day6 title tracks, & lets not forget the rather large number of B-sides you've not touched. So you may be a just a _little_ premature in trying to nail down what a typical Day6 sound is. Can't wait til you get to Days Gone By

It seems to me like Jae and Sungjin went to look for Arcane Land but then they lost contact - as an allegory for them taking a hiatus for their health (in the MV, it seemed like Young K was trying to contact them but it says No Signal). So in this album, the 3 of them set out to look for the missing 2. And it could be that the planet they fell into is "arcane land" and they find Jae and Sungjin there. And it could probably be the concept for the next album with the full band.

Gluon is really a whole listening experience- I love Landed, Where the Sea Sleeps and Thanks To as tracks that bring a new sound to Day6s larger disocgraphy and then you've got these intro/interludes/ outro which take us on a bizarre adventure with the Denimalz which is such a unique way to approach doing a mini-album; and definitely fitting for a unit promotion to take us on a little fun tangent alongside Day6's larger body of work. I freaking adore the Outro and the title "To Be Continued" + foreshadowing lyrics really make me hope its hinting at the "freaking wicked" next concept/genre Day6 are going to tackle, maybe?

Actually there’s no guitar sound in this album. Young K mentioned in an interview that he still played the bass but changed it to sound like the guitar (My Days please correct me if I’m wrong cause I don’t know much about instruments and stuff) I had the same reaction when I first heard the outro lol. And fans even edited videos of the members dancing to it. Thank you for reacting to this. I’m glad you enjoy their music 👍🏻

ABOUT THE "to be continued - OUTRO", we think that it's like an "intro" to the next album, another 'The Book of Us'. Jae said on twitter that they are working on the next album already with all members (They are all back in the dorm). Also, news out that DAY6 will have a comeback ot5 this year, we don't know the month yet

I was never a fan of any group before, I only listened to one song and if I liked it I would listen to it again, I was more of a fan of dramas. So I thought that the groups only released one song, but the truth is, I did not understand the whole issue of comebacks, until I came out of my 'cave' and met DAY6 and I stayed WAO! They have many songs and most if not all of them I like, each song has its occasion, DAY6 has songs for each mood. Since I am relatively new to MyDAY I listened to spotify album by album, each song, so as not to miss anything and then I made three playlists with only DAY6 songs, I divided it according to what the song made me feel ... Thank you very much for your DAY6 videos. Saludos desde Perú (América la del Sur).

Btw this is a new concept of day6, It's still quite new for us as Myday XD The concept is like a space adventure or just a common adventure, that's why they have more adventurous interlude like the one used in game XD

Hi! This album is a little strange if you're not a Korean speaker because there are story parts included in the songs which are not shown on these lyric videos. The whole thing is the plush dolls' journey into a new planet where they attempt discover the meaning of love. They land on earth (tracks 1 and 2) and are relaxing along the ocean until a storm hits and destroys their ship (track 3). They try to endure through it (track 4, the title track) and then teleport into a forest (track 5). This ordeal has strengthened their bonds (track 6). To be continued (track 7) marks the next step of the journey as they explore THIS ARCANE LAND (arcane means mysterious or unknown): in this case, love. The whole thing is very unique not just for them but for K-Pop as a whole. Their other songs don't really sound like this album except DAYS GONE BY (which you're seeing mentioned a lot on the comments). I think that's why they made it a subunit.

Actually, Day6 has some musics with 80's vibes, you didn't react to it yet :3 'Days Gone By' and 'Deep in Love' for exemple...i think you'll really like them

I LOVED THE SYNTH WAVE IN THIS ALBUM. THE SOUNDS ARE AMAZING THE HARMONIES BETWEEN WONPIL AND YOUNG K ARE JUST AMAZING. Trust in Day6.

So they said that because there's no guitar player they tend to do digital and ballad sounds. So the first track is an EDM track! XD I think the digital sound is from wonpil's synthesizer & keyboard! while the drum pad played by dowoon. Landed has this blues-retro 80s sound... I don't know why. Btw you'll find another 80s sound of them like in Chocolate (old skool vibes, OST for K-drama) and "days gone by" (title track for Remember us: Youth Pt.2, the mv are literally retro man, esp if you watch it on 360 or 240 p XD). I can't wait for your next reaction to day6! it's been a while XD

lmao yeah definitely can’t wait until you get to “days gone by” and some of their more synth-heavy b-sides. it’ll be fun! as for the “arcane land” stuff in the outro, the day6 twitter posted a picture a few days ago of this subunit with their character counterparts and “DAY6 (Even of Day) STORY BOOK The Story of Us : The Arcane Land COMING SOON 2020.09.” so i’m guessing it has something to do with that? anyway it feels like i’ve made this comment too long and i should’ve been asleep hours ago so ✌️

Indeed, very 80's, loved it personally. Those 80's synths are very nostalgic for an old gal like me. Thanks To is fantastic. That outro instrumental lol, randomly reminded me of Caravan Palace's "Lone Digger" a tiny bit. Something about the beat and sax, maybe? Ever hear it or watch the MV? Few years old. Anyway, maybe check out the MV in your own time if you're curious, as it's not K-pop and well the MV isn't safe for work or children (or cats, or dogs), but it's amazing.

i believe that the next album they are going to put out as a whole group would be related to Arcane Land.. JYP released some statement about further comebacks and day6(ot5) was included so ya.. possibly!!!!!Mayb!!!!

About the video, I think (and Young K said it to) the order in this album is pretty important, so I'm expecting something related to this concept next comeback bcs the last song is To be continued 👀. This album was so fun! Since you haven't checked bsides yet i think you still don't know all their charm. Sincerely, they have played almost every genre and style of music (and now this kind of videogames stuff) that you can't help falling in love with every song. And there's something you said that it's so trueeee, we can interprate the lyrics as we want even if it sounds more like a relationship song. So, again, check the bsides, there are some good tracks with those powerful lyrics about internal struggles that i loveeee

Ugh it isn’t my first time listening to the songs but watching your video, I’m able to read the lyrics with you so I feel like I’m reacting to it for the first time :) and I love your interpretation! I also thought this album specifically was for the members!

They're going to release a story book called The Story of Us: The Arcane Land which includes a 26mins long DVD, and it has a Denimalz concept... I think they're going to use the intro-interludes-outro for it, I hope so, it would be amaaazing

The problem with this album is the two missing members are the guitarists, so it isn't rock anymore. It sounds like typical JYP boy group. I hope they come back soon.
