Fun facts!: -I'm Serious live version is probably the Day6 song with the most ad-libs. Young K changes the song each time he performs it lol he's changed the lyrics for the bridge/rap a few times and they're all incredible. Even when I listen to the studio version I sometimes sing the ad-libs instead cause they're iconic! -During the whole EveryDay6 project, simultaneously to writing and composing almost every song in the project, Young K was attending Dongguk University for his degree in Business Administration ( with a specialty in English I think?) (He graduated in 2018). There are a few fun anecdotes of his college days, but he's said that the day they filmed the m/v for Dance Dance that he had barely slept the night before and had had a few tests that morning so he was so tired during the shoot that he barely remembers anything lol you can even see him sleeping a couple times in the m/v.
When you said that DAY6 gives you variety, I suddenly remembered one time they mentioned this in a radio. They said they wanna be a band that sings for every moment. Other than the famous “trust and listen to DAY6”, I think this is so accurate. They have songs for your every emotion. Sad ones like heartbreaking, falling in love, being lonely, loving yourself, just having fun, etc, etc. Their whole discography is basically a person’s journey in life and that’s why people relate to it so much. I might sound like I’m fangirling too much but I’ve become their fan because of their music, even before I know their names. So yeah I’m so glad you like their music. My fav ones during EveryDay6 projects are “I Need Somebody”, “Man in a Movie”, “Better Better”, “What Can I Do” and “I Would”.
Whaaa the fact that I don't know any of those songs gets me excited! I love a varied group above all else and they're proving it to me that they fit in that category.
They were extremely busy in 2017. Everyday6 project was not only a music-release project. For the everyday6 project, they released the title track with MV and b-side track per month, as well as monthly live concerts with the new songs included. They also had broadcasts, music shows, and other performances, etc. At the same time youngk still studied in university as a normal student. But their music still stays in very high quality. And that makes me love them more.
Dance Dance is INCREDIBLE live!! I’m telling you, if you ever get the opportunity to see Day6 live, this song will blow your mind, everyone gets so hyped up!! I was fortunate enough to see Day6 with my best friend, but honestly, even if you aren’t able to go with somebody it’s still amazing!! I’ve heard a TONNE of stories of people meeting at Day6 concerts and becoming super great friends! It’s such an beautiful experience and the energy is just insane. I really hope you have the opportunity to go some day! ^^
When I started this life of kpop i also didn't have any friends with the same taste. I went to concerts alone and ended up coming home with new friends, My Days are really warm and kind. If you ever go to a day6's concert, don't be shy and try to start conversations at the line, you'll be welcomed

KpopPrince sorry I’m just jumping in here, but the male to female ratio at DAY6 concerts are really good!! Well at least at the Melbourne shows haha it was like 35-40:65-60 male and female ratio AND they aren’t just chilling either like they’re there reluctantly - I nearly got elbowed in the face multiple times because the fanboy next to me was so hype, but I was also so hyped IVE NEVER SWEATED SO MUCH AT A KPOP CONCERT FROM SHEER JUMPING (both shows at Melbourne we’re seated, but everyone stands)
yes ! more day6 ! yes, they did release a bside too every month, and in dec they released two bsides instead of one. my fave title track is the december one bc it was my first comeback and bc it was the end of the project and it was a very emotional end for day6. my fave bside (you SHOULD check it out too) is I need somebody. this song is srsly a masterpiece, it's a JOURNEY when you listen to it. if you could check it out in the future make sure to pay close attention to the instrumental bc it will blow your mind. probly exaggerating a lil bit but just a little lol. anyway, thanks again for another day6 !

On Every Day6 era they had songs with trilogy M/Vs, they are "What Can I Do", "I Loved You", and "When You Love Someone". I recommend you to check them out!

Thank you for this reaction! It's really hard to choose favorites from the Every Day6 Project but for a title track, I think it would be "I Smile"! And for the b-sides, it has to be "I Need Somebody" because damn, that song hits differently and it's actually one of the most recommended DAY6 songs because of its emotional impact (it also goes really hard!). Looking forward to more!
Speaking of not enough MVs having out door locations- Fun fact apparently "I'm serious" shooting ended up getting cut short cause it started to rain, and they had to cut together a MV out of much less footage than they'd have liked, particularly for those shots them in the convertable car/ on the beach. Day6 have a gorgeous and very raried discography so I'd love for you to check out even more (Check out fan fav bside "I need Somebody" but only when you're in the mood for something depressing again lol).
2017 is really a hella busy year for DAY6. Apart frm releasing a title song with mv and a b-side, they also did concert every month for this EVERYDAY6 project. Young K (the main lyricist) also having his final year as a university student, can you imagine how hectic his schedules is? But on the bright side, DAY6 really gains many fans frm this project, that’s what I feels really grateful. 2017; a very sweet memory of me as a fans (bcs we get new music each month) but I know it’s a hella tiring year for DAY6 and everytime any member jokingly asked if they want to do EVERYDAY6 project again, all of them will suddenly shut up. HAHAHAHA

i've seen them in new york twice and let me tell you... day6 is honestly the best artist to see live and this song for sure makes u lose your mind in concert.
I was in their concert in London in January 2020, let me tell you that was so great, I couldn't stop dancing the whole time. Can't wait for their next concert

If you want a more just chill vibe song which makes you feel good? Try 'Day and Night' from their newest album! Belongs to my favourite songs of all time and literally makes me smile whenever the chorus comes on, literally the BIGGEST smile, always! And Dowoon has some lines ;) Just... Day6 has a tedency to make happy sounding songs with little less happy lyrics. So yeah, the lyrics are kinda low key sad but the chorus is just the best thing EVER and I absolutely adore it
Seriously can't pick a fav song from everyday six project. My fav changes depending on my mood. All B sides are as good as title tracks like "man in a movie" "whatever" "I need somebody" "I'll try" "say wow" "Goodbye winter" "My day" You name it! All of them are so good live!

They have so many many, just listen to all of their tracks! PS. My fav for Dowoon's singing is 365247. Edited: Damn. How can I forgot "Colors" in the list. It's must. Original version (6 members sing) is great but if you like Wonpil's voice, go to the final version.
my absolute fav song from everyday6 was "I Like You" because it was the final song, the ultimate last one closing the show. I think i enjoyed it that much because of the 3 last title they put out during fall, in order it goes "What can i do", "I loved you", "When you love someone" and those three music video were a short drama like story talking about all the stages of falling in love with someone all three songs telling something different about love and theeen you get "I like you" that come closing this beautiful serie and thats just the most amazing feeling i've ever felt while listenning to a song !! so i REALLY recommend to watch those 3 songs in order and then later on to watch "i like you"

A single, an M/V, a B-side . . . . *AND* a concert every month in 2017 My fave will always be I Wait, it's what kicked off the my love of Day6 But Dance Dance has a special place in my heart I have a confession . . . Day6 are pretty much the only Korean band I follow It's usually stuff like Green Day, Bowie, The Cure, Faith No More, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Florence & the Machine
As for suggesting another guide to Day6, I would rather suggest you check out some vids from Wonpilates channel. They are very entertaining and she's done videos that highlight the very comedic side of Day6. I'd recommend her oldest video first, about the evolution of Wonpil from debut through 2018, since you bias Wonpil. Wonpilates has made at least one video about each specific member, as well as videos on the dynamics between each member duo. You seem to like the playful nature of Jae and Wonpil, so maybe check out their duo vid, too. I believe Wonpilates is currently working on her own guide to Day6, but I'm not sure when that will be released :)

Another great Day6 reaction! Dance Dance is indeed fantastic live. I also live in NY, so you got a concert buddy here. But even if we didn't meetup, you would probably find a group of people day of to hang out with. I went to 2 Day6 concerts alone last year, and met a lot of kind mydays both shows. Btw liked the tangent about emo/pop punk music. I grew up with that music, as well, and I agree with your views on FOB 100%. Their first 2 albums were played heavily on repeat in my home, but everything afterward was not really to my taste.
I'm really super excited to see you react to more of Day6's stuff. There's not a lot of people who release content about them until they have a comeback so I'm really excited to have somebody go through their older songs as well and appreciate the music and lyrics :)

It's really HARD to pick just one favorite song from "Every Day6 Project", but i think that "How Can I Say" and "Hi Hello" are my faves in terms of title songs. As for b-sides, "I Need Somebody" is one step ahead for sure but all of the b-sides are incredible and worth of being a title
