Young K usually does a good part of the background vocals in their songs. I think it's also him in the bridge.

Yeah it's Young K doing those harmonies btw - Dowoon wasn't actually singing those parts near the beginning, just miming for the M/V unfortunately 2017 was the 'Every Day6' project - 1 title tack with M/V, 1 B-side, 1 concert . . . every month (plus they did a load of V-live's - 2017 was amazing for MyDays)

I think you’re right about Wonpil doing his own high harmony in the bridge. Obviously Wonpil can’t do it live, which is why Young K does it, but studio sounds like Wonpil to me.

they were doing the half air half voice where jyp is known for 😂 to add some soulful vibe to the song, it worked sooooo good, their emotions are on point and yes they are truly insane and talented💯

During 2017 Day6 had their EveryDay6 project where they released a tittle track with M/V, one bside and a concert every 6th of the month for the whole year. In the end, they had 25 songs, which they compiled the songs into two full-length albums, Sunrise (January-June) and Moonrise (July-December). This is what Jae was talking about in the guide that Young K had to write lyrics for two songs every month. Excited to watch more of your reactions to Day6! Can't wait!

It's really sad that rock isn't popular in Korea. If Day 6 were an American group they be #1 on Billboard every time. They do a lot more ballads than rock groups usually do to try an appeal to a Korean audience. I know they can rock a lot harder too if they were allowed to cut loose. You can hear what they could be in this song and Shoot Me when the guitars get a little dirty. JYP stuck them in a sublabel because I don't think he really understands rock. It must really frustrate them and I wonder if it contributed to the two guitarists going on hiatus for anxiety problems.

Actually, the project that you said at the end of this reaction is called 'Everyday6 Project'. This song 'I Wait' is their Title track release for January 2017, the b-side is Goodbye Winter. The February release is You Were Beautiful which were accidentally played after you listen to this MV.
