Honestly, I still have so many more fave moments to document but here, i wanted to pay homage/tribute to how far our beloved Jaehyung-sshi has come as a vocalist.
OMG ME TOO!! when he says things about his vocals not being that great (like in one of the recent ig lives) i think a) um, does he have a problem with his ears? b) is he fishing for compliments? c) is it possible he actually doesn't know how good he sounds?? either way i get upset and just wish he could know 100% what a powerful, BRILLIANT vocalist he is...
@@niha8032 Yes - all excellent points! 1 other angle on this topic: when he did that ig live where he spoke about feeling like a chameleon & feeling like he didn't find his voice yet, i really didn't understand why he felt that way. but after he released "it just it" i understood where the self-doubt was coming from. i think (i could be wrong obv) he *knows* he has good vocal capabilities/technique but i think he questions his impact ARTISTICALLY, like what does my "vocal fingerprint" sound like? bec until now he really is learning from and mimicking a lot of cool stuff from the people around him. it'll be interesting to see in which direction he evolves in finding his unique signature sound. (OMG this is so long. eek!)
@@niha8032 did you mean to sound like you're yelling by writing in caps? cuz whoa... so he's an artist, not just a performer. as an artist, you want to leave your unique print in the art you make. when he hears himself emulating Seori's phrasing, eventhough it's HIS unique voice, it FEELS like copying, in his experience (i'm just guessing here. i don't claim to KNOW.). and FTR i totally agree that he has 1 of the most unique (GORGEOUS) voices in music ever, but he's not hearing that yet bec of certain insecurities he has. so i think he's waiting til he experiences singing in a way where he feels authentic, instead of just employing technique. does that make sense?
@@daebakday6981 I think it's because of his anxiety. I mean, usually anxiety tells you something less about you.. and to think that jae and sungjin both feel insecure about their voice hmmm..
Jae's song "Pacman" is the reason that got me into day6. "Pacman" was 2 months on my recommendations and i didn't wanted to listen to it because i thought RU-vid's recomen. are bad and I don't trust them. But after 2 months i gave up and listened then.... I regretted that i didn't listen to it when it came out.

Jae's voice is a perfect example of a voice that could pierce through the listener's heart. I mean the man is gifted to express the emotion conveyed by the song through his voice and singing abilities. I salute talented artists like him.

jae always said that it's the emotion in the singing that sells it more than any range, vibrato, or flexing. It's why the mellow parts in Yeppeoseo and Like a Flowing Wind feel so good. He knows how to bring the lyrics to life.

Rose L that is the power of Jaehyung Park, no joke. His voice definitely awakens SO many emotions within the listener and not only that - I feel like he awakens them intensely. I’m constantly blown away by his ability as a vocalist to take something simple like a syllable or a word and make it mean so much more than that word etc. he is truly a gifted artist and I hope more people get exposed to his talent. Btw, can you believe that those last 2 parts are totally improvised on the spot?? I can’t even begin to imagine how that’s possible but it is...
On a day6 kiss the radio episode, two idols came in, I think from pentagon? Well one of the two pentagon members who was a former JYP trainee said that before Day6 was formed, the 5live squad were known as "vocal kings" in JYP.
@@daebakday6981 Yeah, I used to be into Kpop a lot but ever since finding out about day6, Kpop doesn't really appeal to me and I found that I like lyrics and vocals more. They made my expectations so high..

I realized the important of his voice after DoE, and now day6 new album. His voice bring soul and "rest" in their songs between Sungjin, YK and WP strong voices. Especially YK n WP' have this sharp sound in their voices, for me its make me "tired" to listen to after a long time

Hahahaha! i'm SO glad you liked it! Truth is, i found material for it to be longer but as it is, i think most people don't have patience to even sit through 13 minutes... i could be wrong about that. (Maybe #4...) Anyway, Jae has that kinda voice and presence that one can not get sick of, imo :)

jae's voice is soooo pleasing to hear it's just smooth and soothing,, perfect for a lullaby, but it can also be powerful if he wanted to like in pacman,, he's so cool

@@daebakday6981 Some are spicy hot like his rap vocals on Stab, Love in my Pocket, and Jam and Butterfly; but largely, his repertoire - notably the entire eaJ project - is on the softy sweet side. Whatever, there is something in Jae's voice that tickles and caresses the senses.

He has mind blowing vocals but I think it’s unfair to his hard work to say he sound the same before and after. The power and artistic range DEF changed A LOT over 10 years even though the basic color and texture of his voice is already incredible ❤️
yep, same. although i'm starting to realize that that is part of what makes him great. he's never satisfied and always driven to be better and try new things because he knows he hasn't got it all figured out yet... but yeah, i always pray for him to conquer his demons of anxiety and PTSD/insecurity and a million other things we know nothing about...

The technical intricacies this man is capable of blow my mind, but the thing that adds another layer, like the filter over everything he sings, is his capacity for emotion expression in body, voice, and soul. Day6 will never be the same without him.

@@daebakday6981 most fave is the one at 12:31 It was like i stanned Day6 recently but i can't decided which voice is my bias cause they're all so good, until i heard that "i can't sleep" song, i was completely charmed (but i love them all XD day6 members keep breaking my bias list) Any eaJ songs are the best for me too (Pacman and Pillow) In love with the way he sing high notes, a bit breathy but very sweet and smooth, idk how he can sing like that without cracking voice Just very satisfied to my ears

it's not an official song, it's literally just something Jae made up on the spot when they were doing their Naver Social club show. also the song before - total improvisation. the boys randomly started playing and Jae started experimenting with singing something on top AND THAT'S WHAT CAME OUT! How crazy is that??
