DAY6 Young K 'Letters with notes' Album First Listen

Thank you for the video umu. Natural is my favorite track so far because i like easy listening songs, but strange and playground really bring EOD and Day6's sounds. And of course What is hurts so much, i love the pain 🫠

What's missing in this album are the adlibs that Young K does during the live concert!! His vocals go CRAZY during Strange!! He whistles/hums during Babo. Etc etc. It's amazing to hear live

i would literally cry if we got a rttk x stray kids or day6, you guys are my favourite react channel, it's literally so amazing and interesting, and it's a CRIME that jype can't see what they're missing out on😭 i feel like bang chan would love to come on here and talk about music. it's reassuring to hear you're not giving up, thank you for not losing hope!! we're rooting for you! I really loved this album though, it just felt comfortable and comforting in a way! it's hard to choose a favourite, but i really love 'nothing but' and 'natural' and 'what is...'

Always good to see you again, Umu 🥰 I think my favorite songs of this album are Let it be Summer, just because it's so fun and always gets me dancing in the kitchen (or the bus) and what is.. because I have Feelings and they hurt when this song plays 🥲

Since the album came out I have been waiting for your reaction! I was also happy to see you react mostly to the songs I enjoyed the most from the album. Some of my favorite moments in the album are: 1. Natural is my second favorite from the album. There is this part when Young K says "I'll be there for you" once in his lower range and the second time in his his higher one and for some unexplainable reason I have been obsessing over it. 2. Playground is so much fun and very interesting I agree! The electric guitar sounds that compliment when he is singing "looking back" is especially so satisfying. 3. I have to say that Bungee Jumping did grow on me. It did not start off as my cup of tea but it ages well with further listens (much like many Day6 songs that I constantly rediscover i.e: I loved you, Better Better) 4. I fully relate to what you said about strange! I also was expecting it to be more like the vibes of "Warning" or even "Emergency," but I was not disappointed with the way it turned out either. 5. What is is definitely my favorite from the album. I feel like after "Want to Love You" I was really looking forward to another ballad. And while I do agree that a bridge might have made it even better (because it would have been even longer), another part of me liked its simplicity and the way the music dropped with a river of emotions right after he dumps out a somewhat frustrated question of "if what we had isn't, then what is love?" And the fact that he kept lowering the notes. In a way it also ties to the title of the album that invites you to look at the notes as a part of the letter he is sending. I also enjoyed Let it be Summer and Nothing But. Babo, Dreamer, Soul and Waited were less my vibe but overall the album was a treat for me and reminded me again of that distinct sound of Young K and Day6 that just feels and hits different.

dont lose hope, umu! this month day6 will finally be reunited and these days, they have been appearing on shows! i hope they can show up in yours too!

Ngl, after my first listen I thought Soul was my favorite but then natural and what is... grew on me. Natural is going to be my most streamed song on Spotify wrapped for sure. Such a great album!!

I've heard many songs this year playing with loopy feels. But natural's loops to me feels more of like travelling through a tunnel or sound wavelengths passes through you one by one than being sprinkled from here and there if that makes sense? What you said about its intro while trying to figure why you like it, reminded me of another song which also had that loopy feels in it and ig it's more apparent there as the instrument/sound which went all throughout was like the base it started with it and then new things get added and added as the song progressed. but its loopness is more of like drawing curvy lines from start to end without pause than passing through spirals or circles or being sprinkled. so i got reminded of that since ig it catches the attention from start already? and these 2 songs have the most interesting loopy feels to me this year. tho tbh these are just details i noticed with the song and it was actually quite unexpected for it to be my most replayed because it wasn't in my top 3 from teasers. i guess it's just playful and easy listening. i never get tired of it and just dances along. i also like dreamer! i liked the lyrics along with its instruments. it feels like still romanticizing life or towards dreams even when faced with failures. my fave lyrics from it was "...gazing at the city sky that creates the illusion that there aren't many stars" and "in the night sky where there's no romance to be found, i take a picture of my stars" it feels heavy like that but it's actually fun to listen to like it makes what it goes through feel lighter. it makes my day feel lighter too also! jype mouths could be really unnecessary at times they couldve said it in another way why.. i wish that interview day still comes. as much as you trust mydays, i trust and learn from your channel's reactions too

Firstly, thanks for doing this Umu! I have been watching you since you first reacted to Day6 and i just want to thank you so so much for still doing so.. I was really looking forward to your review this time as usual! Personally i really love almost all the songs on the album! I find many of the melodies interesting because its quite unlike what day6 and young k had done previously (from my knowledge anyways i can be wrong haha) so its really fun listening to young k challenging something somewhat different this time! Personally I really love Natural, Playground, Nothing but, babo and what is.. man some of these song had me tearing up thinking back to how i started stanning this group since their debut.. and also when i was busy flying for some of their shows during the everyday6 era.. 🥹 Lastly, I hope you get to collab with them one day! And above all please have a good rest and not overwork yourself! Sending you lots of love~ 😊❤

My favorite track is probably SOUL, really enjoy his "where the hell is my soul?". Followed by what is.. a masterpiece, a very beautiful ballad. Love your reaction, always! ❤

I don't know if it is because I watched his performance from a festival before I listened to the song on streaming platform, I like playground the most and natural is the second runner up. Young K is really cute when he performs those 2 songs with his little choreography (?) in playground and the hearts he makes in natural.

The chorus melody is just so beautiful and ethereal, together with the heartbreaking lyrics the song really hits me hard. I went to YoungK's solo concert and Strange was sooo fun, he added tons of ad libs, so when i listen to the studio version it feels rather empty lmao. umu!! Finally! reaction to day6, ive been waiting this huhuhuuu and i loveeeeee it. my favorite songs are Waited and Dreamer.. Im tearing while listening to Waited. its like something gonna pop puuffff pushhhh in my heart.. i really love Waited. I think Dreamer is similar with Strange so i enjoyed both. Alot of Myday fall in love with Natural cuz part 'i love you I love you I love you I love you' is fluttering haha.. can't wait to Day6 comeback and Umu reaction too! LUV

As the pokemon collector in which pokemon being the bsides sang in festivals, I am definitely biased toward them 😅 My fave tracks are natural, bungee jumping and babo (so a bit huhu we did not get the whole album reaction).
