I’m 43 years old. I adore this song as I was considered “controversial” in my small town in Australia 🇦🇺. I was never able to sit still and look pretty. I was always cooling off in jail overnight after protesting women’s rights, being against men being abused, livestock being live exported........I truly ruled my world at 18 and now I have an 18 year old daughter who will never sit still and look pretty and I couldn’t be prouder. My beautiful daughter? Make a noise, be a mess, fight for what’s ‘right’ , be unapologetically ‘you’ because remember I’ll always be behind you to catch you if you should fall just like my beautiful Mum did . We are strong women. We have created ‘change’ and you will create yours. Never forget it 💖
