Something tells me they overlube just to be safe then in shipping it drips out. Or maybe they overlubed it to slow it down. In any case, it does look like a very good 3x3! So I guess Dayan caught back up to the rest. Very nice review of breaking the feel of it down as well!
Holy shit, I came back after like a 2 year break from cubing and Dan's quality and channel size just blew up. This is awesome. Also the thumbnails are fucking amazing!
The Slower Purple Lube is Compound X, and the faster Blue one is Compound V. I remember it because the slower lube is a higher number. Weight 5 is slower than Weight 1, is Compound X is slower than Compound V.
I rather have it overlube then underlube tbh, it may have a gummy feeling but breaking in is gonna feel good, yea its greasy but we can always wiping off, like my gts3m came with no lube absolutely dry.
This is phils main and many people say the magnets are too weak, but they are definitely doing their job. If there were no magnets, the cube would have been super uncontrollable and unstable.
3:50 FYI, the corner face tiles came off really easily for me, but the side tiles were a massive pain. (I broke one of the inner tabs, but the face still stays on the cube just fine)
(Opinion) the 2018 isn't bad. I set it up and it's actually kinda good. Not my main, but it's still a good cube. If anyone else has it and has different experiences with it, let me know :)

I haven't upgraded from a zhanchi. I haven't really seen a need for it. It works great and I'm not a crazy speedcuber anyway. I can solve fast enough to impress normies, but I wouldn't be special in the least bit around these parts
What about the extra springs? Did you try them to see if they had different tensions? I realize it probably wouldn't change your mind about this cube overall, just curious.
