The background story is as follows: In 1991, at a touristic spot in China, the Ma Ling Canyon, an overloaded cable car fell from the top of the mountain and crashed on a cement platform at the bottom if the canyon. In the short moments during which that car fell, a young couple instinctively raised together their 4-year-old son high up over their heads in an attempt to cushion his fall. He ended up with only a bruise on his lip. Over a dozen people perished, including his parents, the remaining passengers were all severely wounded. Upon hearing this news, singer and songwriter Han Hong sought out the boy and eventually adopted him. Out of the conversation ms they had, she wrote these lyrics.

Nadia & Camille, in case you don't get around to watching the story & words from Singer 2017 on Gloria Wu channel the song was written by the woman that adopted the orphan boy that was on vacation with his parents in a cable car when the cable snapped & his father lifted him to safety before the car fell & killed 21 people including both parents. Dimash also had to go to the hospital the day of the performance on Singer because he lost his voice & the doctor told him no more high notes but he sang it anyway. That is why I can't stop crying every time & Autumn Strong story & words is as emotional too.

Nadia & Camille, I loved watching the result & process of the makeup feed. I like the choice for the 7th day but I am sad you didn't get the version from Gloria Wu that includes the story and subtitles & the huge problem Dimash had the day of the performance on Singer. The story also explained the tragedy that inspired the song and the writer that phoned Dimash before he sang it giving thanks & the fact that she adopted the orphan boy from the tragedy that killed both parents. The story & words makes me nonstop cry every time I hear it & Autumn Strong. I don't know if you saw my last comment on the live stream so I will tell you again to not bother with anything from the horrible show The World's Best They cut everybody's performances & lied to get Dimash on the show! the song is super sad. always check for subtitles on videos from his channel. and this song is about a real event that happened, very tragic. in singer 2017 he was 22 at time it was filmed. his bday is in may, 5 days after mine :D

If you could only understand the tragedy of this little child whose parents saved her but lost their lives in a cable car accident with fourteen others. Han Hong wrote Daybreak and later adopted the orphan child. When you listen to this song knowing the story behind it and don't shed tears you can't be human. I've seen some reactors cried when they heard Daybreak. Mahomed South Africa.

Sometimes I think Dimash is actually an old man lol, he has such an old soul and treats children as if they were all his grandchildren, giving them kisses and whatever they want xD If there is a child, especially a baby near Dimash I guarantee you it is in his arms within a few seconds. I highly recommend watching his performance of his song "Give Me Love"from his recent concert "Arnau" in Kazakhstan, preferably the fancam from Dimash 48's channel. You will really feel like you are at the concert towards the end. A concert reviewer who went to the concert commented that it was a full house but it was the most unusual concert atmosphere they had ever experienced because it felt more like a big family gathering where everyone sings rather than concert.
