When I used to go camping with my dad, and we would sit around the fire, he would tell me stories about Vietnam and being stationed in west Berlin. It always reminded me of sitting next to the fire in stalker. He reminded me of a stalker with all of the stories he told me. Getting shot down, seeing the shockwave of the ammo dump exploding passing between all the buildings etc. About 8 months ago he passed away from leukemia due to agent orange exposure. But before he did his mind kinda drifted and a lot of these memories came back like he was reliving them again. I guess the stalker left the zone but the zone never left the stalker. He was a good stalker.
You see Ivan, that blood stained grass that used to be your friend, will eventually grow into something beautiful in this ugly world, a beacon of hope even just a small one in a hopeless world, sit Ivan, listen to the music, have a glass of vodka, or some bread... And remember he was a good stalker
As a fellow new stalker player, I yearned for the zone before I encountered it. Metro Exodus was my first game that was close to stalker, the truly haunting nature of the world, the despair, desperation, and violence, but yet hope remained. And stalker is similar in a way, while hope is more narrative in metro, with stalker it’s in every rough gunfight where you just survive, and drag your ass back to wherever you seem to be home in the zone, just before that emission hits you. And then when you’re home you’re greeted with familiar faces, and maybe you eat by the fire, play an instrument or just listen and reside by your friends. And then as it always does, as life in the zone carried on, the familiar faces are replaced with fresh ones, and who you were a day, a week, a month, a year ago is changed irreversibly. As old stalkers are always the most alone. The mutants couldn’t take you, the military couldn’t shoot you, the monolith couldn’t control you, the zombies couldn’t turn you, your fellow stalkers couldn’t beat you. But in the end, the zone will always have you.
I regret the times where I always pass all those looted guns to him, getting annoyed when I end up babysitting him, and when I always had to make sure I have a spare medkit cause he always forgets to restock in every stopover. He was never a good shooter but he always saved my ass, he was never a runner but always made sure to catch up, he wasn't someone who I expected to be stick around for long but he stayed nonetheless. The day the Zone took his life was the day the Zone took its toll from me. From that day forward I took up his name and vowed never to take any other name in my gameplays besides his. It's the least I can do for you, Max Chill. I'm sorry.
Beautiful story my friend. Let us all raise a drink in honor of dear Max, let us never forget. Rest In Peace Max Chill. may he chill forever and be at peace.
As a fan of the game series, I have to thank you for this extended version of a good song. And the way you make it sound adds that extra bit of sadness that matches the setting of the Stalker game series.
@@damionrichardson8806 Stalker Anomaly is totally free, with EFP (Escape from Pripryat ) is probably the best FPS I have ever played and looks better than most modern games. The story in the original games is better though.
Never thought I'd see a stalker song on here. It puts a smile on my face, especially since how close to my heart I hold this game series. Good hunting, stalker!
Dima Farrer, one hell of a friend, you can bet your vodka he'll have your back covered wherever you go, may it be through the radioactive dumps at Garbage, or the swampy terrain of Zaton, he will be there for you. But I wasn't there for him, goddammit he should've listened to me when I told him to not go inside Agroprom Underground alone, he should've waited until I finished my contract with Barkeep. But, he's gone now, he's one with the zone, I'm not sure when I'll meet the same fate he had and in what way, but for now I'm here in Cordon, strumming the strings of my guitar, drinking vodka in the memory of him once more, for he, he was a good Stalker
you can but no anomalies or mutants, and artifacts are just historical artifacts/jewelry, not magic rocks, but at least the authorities will call you a "stalker"! (they do actually, prior to the video games, intruders of the exlusion zone were called "stalkers", referencing the book and movie that the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games are based on)
The Background is like a vision of an comrad that went on an mission and you see him in your vision looking back at you one last time then finally going into the fog an disapear never to be seen again the Zone took him
After all Anomalies, Manhunting, Facing Mutants and avoiding Emissions. Hearing and seeing STALKERs camp and take a breather is where you find home from the Zone.
When I played Stalker Anomaly, I roleplayed my little heart out. I was a veteran mercenary who'd helped train most of the greenhorns that would grow into seasoned mercs by the time of my character's return to the Zone for the Living Legend storyline and those that came after. As a result, every mercenary that I watched die or found dead was taken very personally. I collected their patches, always. In some cases I took their guns, repairing them and either keeping them to continue my brother's fights, or giving them back to Dushman in the hopes that they'd serve to protect someone like they'd done for their previous owner before their demise. Rest in peace, my brothers. I've consecrated plenty of campfires with vodka in your names.
Even though this song is really sad, it calms me so much when I hear it. Because I know that this song have a hearth and all the stalkers who sit around the fire listening to this, meaning I can finally sit down to them and feel safe for a while. Out there in the Zone there is only death, even if it's profitable, but these campfires make it more bearable.

I know daycore is supposed to be the oppsoite of nightcore, but everytime I think of the word daycore I think of a gloomy and foggy day, and the aftermath of a shootout that happened at dark, with everything quiet around; a landscape that the song fits so well with this song.
I noticed that one of the themes that constantly gets pushed out of a proper spotlight are death of a friend and disease. I bet my ass to you that at least every second stalker has some sort of infection, illness, mental trauma and such. But Imagine how many friends one can make in the zone (or the big lands) only to lose them in a split second under her merciless trials. I would have loved to see altars, people drinking to honor the passed ones and such.
I know you probably won’t see this Samuel Farina, but it would be really cool if you do songs like “der heimliche aufmarsch” or “March of the Soviet Tankist” all your songs are awesome! And these songs being turned into nightcore form would be AMAZING!
To make this or any of the Stalker tracks into Nightcore completely misses the point that the artist/s were trying to convey in the emotions of the music. Have some respect for them man come on ;-;
this feels like walking back to the bar after risking your life for a shiny piece of rock, losing your friend in an ambush... death is close stalker... and when it comes, aim for the head.
I was afraid when I saw this song on his channel, was hoping it wouldn't be ruined like other Nightcore songs...simple to say it wasn't.. turned out well
There are days in the Zone when you smell only of vodka, swamp, and cigarettes as you spend those days without firing a single shot, wandering the wasteland and avoiding conflict with enemies, mutated or otherwise. Then again, there are days when you smell of NOTHING BUT GUNPOWDER AND BLODD. That's one of the many things I love about this Universe.
Russia is gearing for a massive recruitment drive. I fear for this year, keep your ear to the ground boys. S.T.A.L.K.E.R's look out for each other. I pray for our children. They do not share the same fate as us, lost in the zone of fate.
