As a life long friend and fan (and the artist who painted Feed Us A Fetus), I can definitely attest that this lineup was killer. RIP Nev the Impaler, you are missed. Rancid signing off.
wow, head banging like crazy, crowd was crazy into it, Its 2 bad DAYGLOWS arent like this anymore, They are still great but this lineup (Guano era) kills!!! I seen them live since 1982 and still 1 of the Best shows I ever saw the Band play was at the New York Theater in Vancouver with SACRIFICE and DEATH SENTENCE!!!
Bad fuckin ass, my dad was there! So cool to be able to see that part of dayglo history. I brought sacrifice down to Peru where I live now a couple years ago. (I'm from Vancouver born and raised) I've lived in Lima for 8-9 years now promoting metal bands . My dad raised me old school!
my first PUNK show 1986 in Buffalo...first band was technically first, but more of a slow side 2 My War type stuff, so when Dayglo opened up with Inside My Head, it was pretty much "dont get killed"...i had no clue what to expect. People around here still consider them one of the greats of 80s hardcore...i dont care about the metal riffs (Guano wasnt out yet) ...Dogfarts, I Killed Mommy, Proud to be a Canadian are pure punk classics. A record with a recipe for dayglo abortion chilli? Timeless. My Sabres hat got knocked off, landed on a 6'' stage, and as i reached for it....kicked by Spud out of my clutches. Not this lineup, still Wayne Gretsky/4 piece lineup. Should be mentioned with the best 80s hardcore bands...they were without a doubt. Pass me another Eskimo!
I have this in my DGA live video collection, I gotta load them up on RU-vid one day, I have about 40 shows (1985-2010). They fuckin rule. I Love when they play BEDTIME STORY 4:04
man. would you be interested in sharing some of that through maybe google drive? i have a collection myself of various bands id be willing to trade if yore open to it
This video kills. I definitely need some of these old Dayglo show videos. I’m going to be seeing them in June on the 19th, my 3rd or 4th time seeing them ( 2 times in Montreal and once in Vancouver). Nev’s gone???!! That truly sucks!! First time I saw them was in Montreal at the Spectrum on the Here Today, Guano Tomorrow tour in 88, which I believe was his first. I never got to meet him but I’m about to read Chris Walter’s book about them, I’m sure there’ll be some good stories in there. I have a fairly amusing story about Bonehead but I’ll save that for another time. Rock on Nev!! Fuck Satan To Death!!!!
This video is unbelievable for me. At that time, in my little town of Alma in province of Québec, most of the underground scene was like the Mona Lisa: unreachable! Wake up America! You've got a Donald Trump in your backyard...
