It’s extremely obvious you made Harmony House with no pressure. It literally is the perfect album that could’ve followed Fuzzybrain. Same familiar elements that made us fall in love with Dayglow but with obvious growth and development in music, lyrics, and production. Album of the year contender for me personally!
every time i listen to strangers i get really bad goosebumps. now i listen to this song with this context and everything behind it, and get them even worse. beautiful song.
This was by far my favorite song on the album and I couldn’t quite explain why I was so attached, but after finding out it’s littered with Fuzzybrain references, it makes a lot more sense to me now.

I remember listening to this song over and over again during the period of my life last year where I was going through the same emotions as Sloan. The overwhelming feeling that your life is changing, your about to start your career, and you don’t know what the future holds for you. Everything around you feels so different and you feel like you’re going through it alone. Thank you for not making me feel like I was alone Sloan.
I personally really enjoyed this song, the climatic ending never lost its appeal too even after hearing it many times. Honestly it’s rare for artists to follow up a hit album with an album that’s better or even on the same level, but I think Harmony House really exceeded in that Can’t wait for your next release!

probably my favorite song of yours now. used to be fuzzybrain because i related to it, but now i relate to this one the most. recently moved and shit’s been weird. i’ve been doing what i’ve wanted to do my entire life but i’m extremely alone after leaving all of my friends, and it makes me feel hella torn in between staying in a super comfortable situation, to being in a situation that is challenging and lonely, so i can make the most out of life later on. shits a struggle.

I've listened to all of your music a lot since I discovered you about half a year ago, and this song has become so special to me since. It really perfectly aligns with things that are happening in my life right now, and the way you've produced it and put it together is incredible. The elements, the sounds, the music, the lyrics, all of it. I hope you never, EVER doubt your ability to create amazing music because there's nothing you could create that wouldn't be wonderful. I also agree Harmony House is a perfect follow to Fuzzybrain because of the similar sound but also it seems like it tells even more of a personal story. Which after Fuzzybrain I didn't know would be possible, as that one is already a very personal story. I used to think substituting acoustic sounds for midi sounds was bad cause it seemed lifeless but you've shown me that if you do it right, midi sounds are great. What a creative song with great execution. Writing music seems impossible to a lot of ppl but you've proved that combining a bunch of simple elements will make something complex and emotional
Yo Dayglow, at the end of these videos you should play the full song from start to finish, similar to how Song Exploder does. Every time I finish one of these vids, I always want to hear the full song right away. I know it's only a few clicks away, but adding it to the end makes our lives easier. Absolutely love your art.
