Some gr8 ideas on Gallery Walls, Room functionality (place to enjoy tv/fire, place to enjoy the view), and a large plain bright rug to pull it all together whilst reflecting it's Coastal roots. Brilliant!😊
So glad I came across your channel. I'm LOVING all of your designs. I did a few room " refresh " last Spring and it made all the difference in the world after living in my house for 23 years. hahahaha TFS :-) *** You have a new subscriber!*** XO
Very nice arrangement. My only question is, doesn't the fireplace seem like an abandoned feature. A space which is usually a feature, just not accented. Or eye catching and useful.
Much better, than before, love the two white chairs, with the blue pillows, I would want more color on the mantel tho............The blue and white chairs are neat, don't like the couch, like a white couch much better than what she put there.............
I have been looking at your design videos today. I think your work is wonderful, but I am in the same place as I am when buying magazines. Including House Beautiful. Modern interiors are beautiful, and can be less cold than they were twenty years ago with color and texture etc. But after a while, all they are is a series of modern rooms with a bit of color variation. Boring...especially when buying magazines. I have wonderful 18th and 19th century case pieces and small antiques going back to Roman and medieval times. I do not want a museum look, but the warmth of old pieces really help to avoid that boring modern vernacular. Why not add vintage and antique pieces to your modern rooms and make it less like you are selling modern products and making your magazines a bit less like an Ethan Allen catalogue. Just selling modern products. I know that a return to Mario Buatta is not possible, but remember the warmth of those rooms. Can't we find a nice blend of those styles to warm up those rooms and give individual personality to them.
Focus on the fireplace instead of the million dollar view? Large strip between fireplace and coffee table looks like a bowling alley. Hide gorgeous hardwood floor with bland carpet? NG
