@@Prosodyy lux did a lot for /shifted the culture and is pretty much the greatest pen in battle rap, daylyt has used similar cadences and mannerisms of lux as well. If we talking about influence and moving the culture as the elite lyricist you gotta put lux up there. I’m not saying lyt is being disrespectful it’s all playful shade
Cassidy shouldn’t be on Mount Rushmore, him and smack and Rex should rather be ones that sculpted the faces if that makes sense, maybe put Charlie clips in that vacant slot
@MajinTK__ Ay, say what you will. Against the big names, he's one of my favorite underdogs. Hella classics, and he puts on for a lot of smaller leagues. I still prefer his rebuttals to A Ward's, and even though his freestyles don't always connect, I give him points for being able to take it there. The Derrick Rose of battle rap, in my opinion, lol. He's definitely had his 50 point game, a couple of times, in fact. I say he's underrated, but to each their own.
@jacklarue785 I personally wouldn't put Mook, Clips, Twork, Hitman, or Nitty on mine? I like all of those guys. You putting Lux on yours? Diz? Roc? Surf? K? Dope. If I was asked about 8 years ago, I might've said Verb, JC, Chilla, and Pat Stay? I'm not basing my choices off rappers who've "done the most for" or "shifted the culture." Strictly personal preference. I still like craig lamar, and he chokes more than twork? Somebody out there thinks Bill Collector and A Ward belong up there? I'm not gonna tell em they're wrong, even though I disagree. Off bars and performance, the 4 rappers in my original comment have put out some of the most re-watchable battles I still go back to til this day. I'm sure it's at least one mf out there with Charron on their Mount Rushmore. It is what it is. TLDR; Everybody got an opinion. 🤷🏿♂️
A while ago daylyt compared Cassidy to the guy Ed that created mortal kombat game so instead of Cassidy on the Mount Rushmore he should be like someone that created or sculpted the mountain if that makes sense and the vacant spot can go to Charlie clips or whoever yall else say
This is a great objective Mt Rushmore. I personally would replace Diz with Pat Stay because Diz was not able to translate well in the #1 league. But it’s still a good list.

Nah I can’t get mad bout the reasoning of these picks, if you really follow battle rap, you know he ain’t lied yet. Geechi on there, I guess if accomplishment ok. Then Eazy is just as valid to be there if we basing that. Even Surf. Damn that’s crazy I have an issue with that one lol

Cassidy Definitely #1, he’s a forefather to this thing we call Battle Rap, he birthed a lot of these next generation rappers(his punches, delivery, aggression, metaphors)..word to Reed, Conceited, Arsonal, Hitman, Tay Roc and was sought out by Mook because of his Legend. Regardless of your thoughts of him currently battle rapping isn’t his job like majority of battlers today..Cass will always be able to rap but it’s not just the raps now…he stepped away from this lane n had to get adjusted to the way things go today. I won’t say he’s the best battle rapper right now..I think Rum would clear him but he cares enough to learn now. Ppl wanna say he rap like old ppl but they don’t fault Mook, Rex or Lux for using dated material.
@@Cvo-581 yes chess regardless of the chokes nd throwing up he is still one of the best lyrically hands down in my opinion don’t come under my comment wit the extra shit it’s my opinion my Mount Rushmore not everybody’s Mount Rushmore
