The other water would have been fine. You will find in a few places where the water is a brown but clear color from the tannin in the water from the trees. It's all good. Don't push your bodies this early. Listen to your body. It will tell you when it needs a break, when it needs rest and sleep and when it is done and won't go anymore. Listen to it the entire way to Georgia. The trail is 90% mental and 10% physical. ALWAYS listen to your body. It is considered poor etiquette to put hammocks and tents inside a shelter. It's ok to dry stuff out in them but the shelter is just for people. You may run into people who night hike and will roll in to the shelter like 11pm and then there is no room for them. You guys are hiking great! You're doing wonderful. Enjoy the hike! Nice video's!!! geek

Your videos have been awesome! That river, though! It was so wide. I'm glad you made it across safely. I'm surprised you are finding shelters empty. Maybe it's due to the flood warnings.
